Welcome, where abouts in Scotland are you? It'll be nice to have a real Scot here instead of a fake Scot like OverseasToon (OT)

Re: New Members: Introduce yourself here!
I've got a load of developers from overseas in London this week for training and we are all off to a Burns night supper but they have no idea what it is so I've been helpful:
Burns night is a Scottish celebration in remembrance of Robert Burns who is revered as Scotland’s very own Shakespeare.
To celebrate this feat people eat Haggis; a rare animal that scuttles about the Highlands of Scotland and gorges itself only on the innards of sheep, especially the liver, lungs and heart as well as nibbling on some oatmeal and onions as a snack. When you shave off the Haggis fur it resembles a stuffed sheep stomach. Cut off the head and the arse and tie both ends off and this is plunged into a steam bath whole and cooked for many, many, many amounts of time.
To serve the rare beastie, a man playing a bag of cats as an instrument then walks before it to alert guests that you’ll now have to enjoy the words of Robert Burns of which you shall hear many yet understand so few and wonder what his obsession with someone called Ken was all about.
Once the words are finally completed the Haggis is sliced and presented on an exotic bed of mashed neeps and tatties which are the only vegetables known to grown in Scotland.
Afterwards, much imbibing of whisky is partaken until the guests speak the words of Robbie Burns fluently.

I'm McNugget. Became a fan when NUFC visited Bangkok in the summer of 1996. I bought the ticket -- I had no idea -- at the hotel the team was staying at. Rounded a corner in the lobby and had 30 girls, for half a second, run towards me for an autograph. Then reality set in. The day after I bought the ticket AS was signed.

Re: New Members: Introduce yourself here!
Hi all
Been an (armchair) fan for 20 years - ever since Sir Les & Super Al.
Rarely get to games as live 20miles outside Edinburgh with young family.
Been down a few times over the years, coincidently good games - Bergkamp's wonder goal, Everton gubbed 6-2, Kluivert MOTM for Barca, Cisse debut......& Basel 1-0, which was rank.
Be keen to align travel plans with any other Scots for games
Cheers

Re: New Members: Introduce yourself here!
Welcome - one or two Scots on here but none from Edinburgh way as far as I can remember.
I lived near Livingston until I was 9, not too far from Edinburgh.
