Bombing on the subway in St. Petersburg - so many utter selfish wankers in the world intent on doing others harm.

That one above OXIVIOUS is literally unreadable. It potentially says "IngesteD" but this is after scorching my retinas for 30 or so seconds.

Also gonna take a minute to applaud "Drewsif Stalin's Musical Endeavours" for having the worst band name in history.
Yeah they're called Ingested. There are a lot of terrible bands in that genre, a lot of awesome ones too, but some are laughably bad.

Are tech metal and tech death metal essentially the same thing? Or does tech metal do without grunted vocals and blastbeats or something?

Can't stand to listen to Ed Sheeran's albums but I'll fight anyone who says he doesn't deserve to headline Glastonbury. Saw him when he was on the Pyramid stage a couple years ago and he was brilliant.

I've always thought of technical metal as the more progressive stuff which is bands like this:

Technical death metal appears to be what you've described it as where the time signature changes eighty seven times but it has a bit more to it than your traditional death metal stuff which is largely just s*** noise and pig squeals (f*** off).

There are too many genres.

Ah cool, cheers <ok>. Yeah especially in heavy rock/punk and metal there are so many subgenres that if you stop paying attention for five minutes you're completely out of the loop. I've seen people talk about "Suicidal Depressive Blackened Death Metal" with a straight face.

Nah, all about Arctangent this year, that line up is insane! http://www.arctangent.co.uk/line-up/ (plus y'know, only Converge show in the UK this year)

<laugh> Jesus christ that's bad! I bet people who label music that that niche-ly are a barrel of fun.
