So it's happening. General discussion thread.

Who are you voting for? Why?

Added poll: You can change your vote if you change your mind.

pfft, not sure yet. Very safe Labour seat, but I'm unhappy with the competency of Labour as an opposition. If I try to put policies aside, the leadership can't communicate a message effectively, they can't even do a publicity stunt on a train well. They blame the media but really lack of experience and only hiring acolytes in the issue.
Lib dems are the only hope for endangering Labour, but I'm not a fan of wanting a new referendum. Many ppl who were disaffected with politics voted for Brexit, if the political class then doesn't go through with it, it'll massively damage what little trust there is.

I shall vote Tory as I've found my life to be far better off under thier tenures.

If a reasonable party will be pushing for a second referendum on Europe as a campaign promise then I may think again.

I live in an incredibly safe Tory seat so will probably spoil my ballot.

I've never voted before and probably still won't. If someone campaigns dressed up as a banana, I'd consider voting for them.

Probably have to be Tory, only ones that will be close to challenging Labour in my constituency.

Labour are a shambles but Corbyn has at least been consistent and I genuinely think he's the interests of our country at heart.

Why/how anyone could vote Tory is completely beyond me, particularly after recent events.

This is exactly what I was going to write! I could only see the Lib Dems suggesting a second referendum and would be happy to vote for them, but as is its Tory for me. Cant stand Corbyn, he's a completely hopeless leader

this. And calling Tories "scum" is an ineffective way of getting the crucial swing voters on your side. (these mythical non voters just don't turn up).
It's pretty bad when a prominent Labour MP is doing it, basically suggesting you hate poor people if you've ever voted Tory

Such as? <scratch>
The capitulation of the NHS under their watch - Jeremy Hunt
The stranglehold they have over many media outlets
Handing an EU referendum to people who aren't capable of making an informed decision
The shithouse tactics employed in their last election campaign (bacon sandwich)
The outright lies about education and welfare spending cuts
Corporation tax breaks that cost the UK billions each year

Need I go on? Or does that not matter as much as being a flashy statesman with a basic grip on rhetoric?
