I'd love it if Given plays the full 90 just for old times' sake.

Can anyone imagine Sunderland ever having a testimonial match as good as this? Half those AC Milan players probably don't even know they exist.

Clattenburg's reffing. Hasnt he been desperate to do one of our friendlies? Hell of a game for him.

Yeh he's a huge Newcastle fan, think he did Shearers too?

A quick google says I am correct
The <erk>'sburg dynasty is over 3 seasons, 3 division 1 titles.

Will they play in the current home kit? It would be cool if Harps got to pick a kit of his choice <awe>

Harper's a qualified referee, isn't he? He should ref the last 15 minutes of his game!

They should all wear kits from their respective eras. Each team only ever wears stripes, so it could work

That's a brilliant idea. 95/96 Ginola next to a 93/94 Cole and an 02/03 Dabizas <awe>

I know they're nowhere near the quality of the other players, but is anyone else surprised Harper didnt ask Shola/Taylor to play? He played with them both for over 10 years and there's a number of current players who've been allowed to feature by their clubs.

I wouldn't be surprised if Pardew/ Ashley didn't want Shola/ Taylor to play in case they got injured.

Let's be honest we see too much of those two on the pitch anyway <whistle>
