Yeah, anywhere around or near the playoffs is surely a good season for Birmingham so strange move.Timshorts 2 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 11, 2023 7:29 pmThought he did well at Derby. Much better than I expected. Birmingham are 6th, though. Also much better than expected. Where is eustace supposed to have got them in the table.?
I never had much of a problem with Birmingham, but this plus tom Brady makes me hope they'll drop like a stone.
Meanwhile, Watford have started badly. Why is there no sacking?

Agree about Watford. Eleven games in and sitting 20th in table so would have expected them to be on the second manager of the season who has just got the vote of confidence.Timshorts 2 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 11, 2023 7:29 pmThought he did well at Derby. Northern Premier League side Macclesfield FC have appointed Steve Bruce's son, Alex Bruce as their new manager! This will be his first managerial job. He was previously on the coaching staff with his dad at West Brom
He will be joined by ex Sunderland, Burnley and Stoke full back Phil Bardsley.
Wonder if he'll bring in his dad in some role!

Amazing that we got to December before the first PL sacking. When was the last time that happened? Usually there have been a few kneejerk sackings by now.UlversToon wrote: ↑Mon Dec 04, 2023 10:32 amHeckingbottom sacked by Sheff United and former boss Chris Wilder tipped to take over.
Heckingbottom can't really complain, to get battered 5-0 by another newly promoted team is hard to come back from. They've conceded 39 in 14 games and play Liverpool next.

Apparently the Sheff Utd owner has confirmed the sacking but not the club itself.

Who's covering that story? What a short-lived retirement it's been for that old hack, but I'd have to think they'd target someone like Eustace rather than go back to that tired well.

They're tailor made for each other. Both delusional about their status in the game, an ill perceived idea of their " past successes " and both full of s***.
My problem is reconciling my gross behaviour with my net income.

“Newcastle's owners continue to admire Jose Mourinho at Roma, with the 60-year-old's contract set to expire next summer, although the Serie A side are keen to retain him as their manager. (Gazzetta dello Sport - in Italian)”
This stuff just pisses me off , you wonder who briefs or leaks to these alleged ITK media outlets
Mourinho team angling for a new improved Roma deal surely.
Cannot imagine for one minute this guy at the Toon despite his positive posturing toward Newcastle whenever prompted, alongside his oft repeated fondness for the late Sir Bobby

I wouldn't read anything into it, it doesn't even have to be leak. A reporter can literally write anything with zero foundation and it'll run online.seaside nipper wrote: ↑Wed Dec 13, 2023 12:29 am“Newcastle's owners continue to admire Jose Mourinho at Roma, with the 60-year-old's contract set to expire next summer, although the Serie A side are keen to retain him as their manager.
