Elementary
Anyone watching?
It's a modern day Sherlock Holmes set in NYC.
I think it's a great twist on the original and Johnny Lee Miller is superb.

Re: Elementary
Does it actually have anything to do with Sherlock Holmes though? Removing late 19th century London and replacing it with modern day New York as good as eliminates a major character, then changing Watson into an ethnically Taiwanese woman and removing the addict element from Holmes and replacing it with hinted romance just all sounds like more cashing in on the already abused name to me . It could be good, I dunno, it just sounds like Holmes' name has been pointlessly shoved in there for a wider viewer base.

Spot on. Its alright (but then i do like detective stories, so i would say that), but nothing really very much to do with Sherlockskalpel wrote:Does it actually have anything to do with Sherlock Holmes though? Watched the first two episodes tonight. Not bad. Fills the time adequately

Re: Elementary
I've seen them so far, ok but not a patch on "Sherlock".
And in conclusion, how far had you got through reading this before you realised it was my signature?

Re: Elementary
It's not really a heavy thinking series, it's a 'watch when there's nothing else interesting on' series

I think it's fairly decent.
