I've not read most of the responses, but surely I can't be the only one who has never even come close to crying at any movie? I mean I can see the sadness of some things, but I know its not real so I feel detached from any emotion that is portrayed.

I used to feel this way but as I got older I think I started being bit less cynical. If you're so emotionally detached from every movie you watch then why watch them at all?

I don't cry at films, but it's not because I'm not emotionally involved in them. Quite the contrary!

You don't cry because you're too emotionally involved? <scratch>

I am emotionally involved, but I don't cry. 'Quite the contrary!' referred to not being emotionally involved with them, rather than suggesting emotional involvement stops you crying, because that obviously makes no sense. Apologies for my terribly unclear english. < disgrace >

This! It's a great feeling when a film gets you involved in it to the point where you completely forget you're even watching a film

The film is pretty meh but the ending from Lone Survivor is pretty deep. It's the the cover of 'Heroes' by Peter Gabriel which does it.

Anything with animals dying/animal cruelty I personally struggle with.

Disconnect (on sky demand now, recommended) has quite a powerful bullying scene that had me on the edge.

Other than that i'm not really one for tears. About Time was a great shout earlier though..

Seven Pounds.

I was warned that it was a proper "box of tissues" film, but I only had two wanks.
