After the Fulham game, I thought we needed Shelvey and Diame in the team. After Huddersfield, I honestly don't know what the answer is. We lack something crucial going forward, have nothing in the middle and often resort to lumping it up to no one. Rafa will get more time for sure, but we need something fast. It won't solve our through the middle issue but it's clear we need another winger, which means Sissokos future being sorted asap.

Also, was pleased to hear Ritchie was left out due to injury, did anyone else think Rafa was trying to be to clever having one team for Saturday and almost another team for Wednesday?

Barnsley? The club that are back in the Championship after a number of seasons in League One? Might be worth brushing up on your Championship knowledge in preparation for the next few seasons.

It was even more depressing than that time I chatted up the receptionist at my hotel in Grimsby and she took her teeth out because she didn't want to get her new dentures stained.

Why would her dentures get stained by you chatting her up?

Not the best performance for your lot today but I'm sure you'll come good. Great result for 'little' us!

A bit off topic but I just thought I'd mention that I got talking to a number of toon fans today and I've got to say you guys seem the friendliest and knowledgeable bunch I've met on my travels so far. Very welcoming and a credit to Newcastle.

Good luck for the rest of the season.
Good numbers and good support from your lot yesterday. <ok>
Supporting the Toon since 1972.

If we're going to play Anita right midfield, we may as well sell him on. What a waste.

That's why I said rotating. You both take turns. Might be worth brushing up on your comprehension skills in preparation for your next few shitposts on forums of teams you've just beaten.

After the initial sadness and then worrying about Saturdays result with some time I've accepted it. This is a relatively new team we are putting out , we are in uncharted waters for a lot of them and they will still be figuring out how to play with each other. I think given time the team will gel and we will see performances. It's not often teams make as many wholesale changes as we have and gel immediately.

I'm nowhere near as optimistic as I was pre-season but still quietly confident we can win the league or get promoted automatically. Loadsa games to go.
