I don't understand people defending him saying the poor bloke has been forced in when he's not ready, this cronut was banging on Pardew's door demanding a chance, the fucktarded spunkbucket. He should hang his head on shame and I hope he never has the balls to ask to play again once our keeper's are back fit/we bring in a new goalie. Useless hipster beard bellend.
Thats a bit brutal CTR. Every footballer is going to banging on the gaffers door for a game. Its only natural. He did f*** up last night, but he wasn't ridiculously bad. He did pull off some decent saves, but needs more practice at this level which will only take time on the pitch
I'm a little late to this, but I agree. Any footballer, or especially keeper who doesn't suggest to his manager that he wants to play may as well pack his boots up and start a 9-5 job. I've read CTR's reply post suggesting that Alnwick is so "cocksure", but considering you don't know the kid, and that's based on a few random stories about him wanting in the side, I don't see the point in personal accusations.
People get too wound up about athletes being confident, when that's just part and parcel of being one in remote proximity of a high level. If you're not confident and believing in yourself, you'll never cut it in a higher level - it'll eat you alive. Regardless of how he performed, I want players wanting to play, especially seeing as he's one who has been thrust into playing anyway. He'd be performing even worse if when he got forced into playing he didn't think he was good enough to.
