Neil is my favourite autocorrect since Dr Hong so it's staying there.
...
So explain defense. Defence would be correct word.

I see why you asked, but when I made the 'we've picked up max points ..' statement I based that on the comment that de Jong offers nothing at all, which in my opinion he does in settling a side that's collapsed pretty spectacularly in recent matches, I'm not sure Cisse provided as much benefit in the last two matches and having Perez in may not necessarily be better but it wouldn't be in any way detrimental .. not sure I could say the same if de Jong was dropped as he adds more at the moment .. <ok>
I'm glad someone understood <laugh>

Relax, every team needs a lucky mascot like you. Not sure watching the Scum would make them any worse. <ok>

It's going to be a long time before Krul comes back, and who knows what Elliot's form will be when that time comes - kinda hard to make that prediction right now. But generally yes, if you have a keeper with a hot hand, you keep playing them when the other one returns.

I'm not sure if you're trying to be ironic and represent all-too-common manager thinking? But the match turned after the forwards were swapped out, which isn't necessarily to say you have to start Mitro and Perez, but the starting line-up isn't exactly the XI that won the match, and regardless, I'm of the mind you pick the XI that give you the best chance to win, not just keep playing the same starters until they cock up a match and you more easily justify a change.

Elliot is in form right now so yes, good performances should be rewarded or we'll end up going down the same route as before where players become complacent! Just wish we could drop the likes of Colback and Colo once in a while to give them a kick up the arse!

What would you say Cisse's role in those wins are? Lulling our opponents into a false sense of security for an hour?

We might actually do something of note in a first half, managers have to be brave enough to change things while they're winning.

He's looked decent enough in the last two games (most surprisingly with his willingness to win balls back and in the air) and he's given us the opportunity to have decent fresh legs on the bench for a change. It's revitalised the team and Perez himself by the looks of it.

I think we still haven't found our best side yet but I'm fairly certain it doesn't involve Cisse, I'd start Dr Hong off Mitrovic on Saturday before bringing Perez on for Dr Hong or Sissoko. No complaints of course if Perez starts, nice problem to have for once.
Reckon Mitro and de Jong are a bit similar though, in that they can both take long balls, hold up play or flick on and are better with someone running off them ala. Perez .. de Jong/Perez moving to Mitro/Perez when the good doctors legs go after 65 minutes for me <ok>

Yea I'd probably go with that. I think a lot of people want Dr Hong to get as many minutes under his belt as possible in the hope that the sharpness and fitness will suddnely spring into life. Not as easy as that of course but there is undoubted talent there.

I do agree about the calm style he has with a couple of clever balls and nice touches but you have to think about where de Jong was when we've scored our last 4 goals - on the bench.
Don't think it helps having Cissé in front of him. His intelligence would be better suited to Perez I think
