It is surprising that Gillespie wasn’t even given 15 mins.

And convenient that Ritchie was “injured”...

With Dubravka's injury, if there was any intention to ever play Gillespie in a professional fixture, he should've started this game really. Darlow is clearly going to be our first choice until the big man gets back fit.

Maybe Darlow’s positioning wasn’t great but literally every keeper in the world has been caught out by a looping header at some point. He’s not a great keeper by any stretch but he’s not woeful.

Definitely. I'd like to see a better angle but you don't tend to expect keepers to stop anything going into the far side netting.

I'd blame Yedlin more than Darlow there. Manquillo could have done more to prevent the cross.

We can't be starting Darlow next week, he's an awful goalkeeper. He .ade numerous mistakes leading to goals against Boro the other day and that today was poor as well.

Surely Gillespie cant possibly be worse or even whoever the U23s keeper is these days. If we start Darlow we're guaranteed to concede.

Also the defending was horrendous as well. It's going to be a long season I think.

Bruce's post match comments were all about injuries, really. The one positive he took out of the match is that we didn't pick up any more.

Only five subs on the bench, including Joelinton and Muto. Muto who has been told he has no future with the club.

The game next Monday against Boro has been cancelled. Warnock says it was us that called it off due to having too many injuries.

He's suspended for the return fixture next Monday. It seems there's some kind of suspension code for friendlies - I seem to remember Jack Colback getting suspended for a friendly after a red in another friendly a few years back. Seems pointless.
