Re: Match day thread - NUFC v Brighton

Ooh just one final thing, Yedlin looks worse than ever. We desperately need a right back. I find that kind of baffling <erm> . We give up one shot on goal, that has nothing to do with him, no chances, and yet again show no attacking threat from anywhere on the park, and it's a right back we despera...

Re: Match day thread - NUFC v Brighton

Perez is fifth on the team in minutes played, and wallowing back in ninth on touches. I raise that because he is so painfully anonymous, which is ridiculous for a player in the attacking midfielder role. Any CAM worth his salt is the centre of play and has everything go through them, or is the start...

Re: NUFC Minor/Untrusted Transfer Rumours (January 2019)

Seems like this will be another winter in which they actually make a few desperate signings to try and fend off relegation, only to still have key gaps and no chemistry. With a prompt sell-off of them come summer when they have better offers at other clubs.

Re: England squad for October

They'd need to get to the playoff to lose it, which might be a stretch. In seriousness I like the idea of that, the extra incentive with the nations league for that qualifying space. Gives the s**** like the scots a chance to try and pretend they can compete. I think that it's the biggest flaw of a...

Re: Leeds Owner Calls For 'Premier League 2'

Can say that there's too big a gap between the PL and Championship, but if you were to make the PL smaller, you'd simply change where the gap existed. Ultimately (most) viewers want to watch the best players and teams play, and there's only so much time for people to watch football, which in the cap...

Atsu has been the best player so far. More influence so far than his past several appearances combined.

Invite pressure every week and more often than not a moment of quality or individual error will do you in. As we continue to see.

Love having strikers who are afraid to shoot. Every week there are examples of how tentative he and Perez are. So sick of it.

Why'd they have to include the "S." in front of Longstaff on the team sheet?

Re: Sky: Peter Kenyon in talks about taking over NUFC

It's just the club leaking a takeover story to attempt to quieten the protests. When has the club ever cared about protests? They've been going on for a decade and it never forced them to make changes. Ashley couldn't care less if there were 50k waving bedsheets on Grey Street. Not to mention, supp...

Re: Match day - Palace v NUFC

Would you not say he lacks versatility in his tactics? 100% but I don’t think a lack of versatility is outdated. I mean Man City aren’t exactly versatile in style but they’re supreme - as goes for pretty much ever Pep team tbh. Same could be said for Liverpool, Chelsea of a few years ago (as a more...

Re: Match day - Palace v NUFC

It's worrying that we seemingly put up a fight against some of the bigger teams, but against lesser sides we look disinterested and out of ideas and talent. Rafa clearly knows he's walking in summer, and I'm sure a fair few of the players aren't particularly bothered. We've all had jobs where we tu...

Re: WEEKEND FOOTBALL - 21/23 SEPTEMBER 2018

And who's fault is that? Rafas not blameless. Didn't say he was blameless, but whats done is done Mitro is now a Fulham player and could go on and score 50 goals this season it doesn't make a blind bit of difference to us. Could say the same about all of the players we don't buy or other such subje...

Re: Match day - Palace v NUFC

I'd like to see Muto given a proper run-out. It isn't as if any of the other forwards have earned their guaranteed places in the lineup every week. Actually yeah this. Rafa just seems rather stubborn. Continuing to try the same things but expecting different results. Perez and Joselu offer so littl...

Can you imagine any other club/manager persisting with the pairing of Joselu and Perez as long as Benitez has? It's utterly baffling.

Re: WEEKEND FOOTBALL - 14/17 SEPTEMBER 2018

When this happens is it because they have a lot of fans that travel into the city for home matches that can't do it on a weeknight? Are the tickets even more expensive than usual? What's the deal? Two things, (incorrect) expectation that group games will be dull and predictable City fans have runni...

Re: WEEKEND FOOTBALL - 14/17 SEPTEMBER 2018

I see Man C had 10,000 empty seats last night. Can you imagine if we ever got back into the CL, every game would be a sell-out.
