Re: Bruce

Miggy was wonderfully hardworking when he arrived but razor sharp feels a massive stretch. Good player but still needs to up the productivity and while he nabbed a couple post lockdown he certainly isn't undroppable. The tactics worked against West Ham and clearly didn't against Brighton, but I real...

Re: Other club transfers summer 2020

36 or 43, 36 or 43, 36 or 43, Obafemi Martins!

I wonder if he's still rapid.

Re: Cheaper Train Travel On Match Days.

I'd like to see a dissertation written by Shelvey <awe> It was the best of times, *Hollywood pass* it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, *Hollywood pass* it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief *Hollywood pass*, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of ...

Re: Brighton (H) - match thread

I'd completely forgotten we have a cup game in midweek. There's too much football these days.

Re: Other club transfers summer 2020

Weirdly I couldn't make a cup of tea until my mid 20s, grew up in a house of coffee drinkers and didn't really drink hot drinks at the time. Offered to do a tea run one day at work and basically made a cup of warm milk with a tea bag in. Anyway, Diogo Jota to Liverpool. Wait so you left the tea bag...

Re: Brighton (H) - match thread

We had a similar result against Norwich 2nd game of the season last year. The reality is we set up much better in the 2nd half and if Wilson bags his sitter who knows. At that point we were 2-0 down and Brighton picked us off on the counter for a third. I’m not saying it flattered them but it doesn...

Re: Brighton (H) - match thread

Reminds me of when we had Ben Arfa and he was flying up the wing to help us finish fifth. Then was slotted in as more of a deeper RM with an expectation to track back and defend. Didn't suit him at all until Pardew dropped him based on a perception of poor attitude and workrate. Before eventually b...

Re: Brighton (H) - match thread

This feels very harsh to me. He played alright against West Ham and only managed half an hour today, but in both games he was utterly wasted as an orthodox winger in a 4-4-2, he needs to be in a position he can threaten the goal. Whether his attitude isn't right is hard to judge just yet, but he wo...

Re: Brighton (H) - match thread

Back to the turgid displays of last season. Utterly pathetic all round. If ASM carries on like this I’d sell the cronut. No effort , faking injuries every two mins , and generally didn’t look like he gave a ****. This feels very harsh to me. He played alright against West Ham and only managed half ...

Just the 27 replays to confirm that one. In fairness to him no malice, but a very clear red.

Re: Team for Tuesday - League Cup, Blackburn (H)

Wouldn’t make sweeping changes but certainly a few. Darlow could do with the game as hardly played in 2 years so leave him, reckon Krafth will definitely play, and Ritchie might well come in too. Start Joelinton in his preferred position (whatever that is). Maybe start Miggy too in place of ASM and...

Re: NUFC Minor/Untrusted Transfer Rumours (Summer 2020)

That's usually because the teams we sell them to actually play them, and occasionally pass them the ball in the final third.
