Re: Team for Huddersfield

Could see the Dummett / Ritchie move. I’d be astounded if Longstaff was benched given how wel he’s played for a relatively long period now.

Re: Who was your first Newcastle United idol?

An obvious one for me, Shearer. A lot of my best football memories of us are under Sir Bobby as I’m just too young to be able to claim that I remember the entertainers years. Others too tie in with that. Loved Robert, Solano, Speed and Given...and Bellamy!

Probably Deportivo just because when I was growing up they were pretty decent with the likes of Valeron and Diego Tristan.

Anyone not going West Ham that I can link my membership to on the club site? Then I can get two together? Basically wouldn't have to do anything except give me a supporter number and then accept the request.....
Thought it was sold out?

Re: Match thread - Wolves v Toon

Think we were watching different games if that’s how you saw it <laugh> He was constantly harrying and pressing and using his strength to good effect. Never let their back line settle. If he did take long on the ball sometimes i t’s because he had literally no pass on ! Not sure what he’s supposed ...

Re: Match thread - Wolves v Toon

Rondon wasn’t awful (maybe he appeared that way if you only saw it on TV but certainly not if you saw the match). Agree with the rest tho <roll> Were you at the match? Should've said! <roll> Thought he was so poor. 6/7 times he took far too long on the ball, held it up well and had good options but...

Re: Match thread - Wolves v Toon

Rondon and Yedlin were awful. Dubravka made an error but he made a lot of good saves. Longstaff is better than Paul Scholes ever was. Almiron was lively, looked great in his cameo. Rondon wasn’t awful (maybe he appeared that way if you only saw it on TV but certainly not if you saw the match). Agre...

Re: Match thread - Wolves v Toon

He looks every ounce a PL player, I’d go as far as to say that he’s the first CM on our team sheet at the moment (even when everyone else is fit). The others are vying for a place alongside him. Neves is touted as one of the best young midfielders around and Longstaff outshone him today so hopefull...

Re: Match thread - Wolves v Toon

Disappointment aside, I’ve been impressed with us over the last four games. We have probably achieved 3 or 4 more points than we anticipated. Shame it could have been an additional 3 if not for unfortunate errors but I’ve seen enough to suspect we will be ok. No hate for Dubravka from me. He’s been...

Re: Match thread - Wolves v Toon

Dubravka is probably just becoming the next fashionable player to hate. We always have to have one don't we. Nah it's Atsu for me as he's permanently rubbish <roll> Almiron looked better in 20 mins that Atsu has in the last 4 or 5 games in total. Atsu is a Joselu, he'll keep on running and working ...

Re: NUFC apparently take loan from Barclay's to fund transfers

Over 3 years it will probably cost Juventus around £60-£70m in wages...suppose they'll look at it that if they'd have had to buy him he'd cost £30m+ in today's market so in the bonkers world of football it justifies it.

Anyone wanting Dubravka dropped is clearly off their rocker.

Optimistic of 6 points in our next couple of games.
