Re: Matchday thread - Toon v Blades
Murphy and Longstaff shouldn't start a single game next season unless it's the league cup or an injury crisis. I struggle to think of anyone in the top 15 of the PL that would have them as regular starters. Also probably an unpopular opinion but I think Anderson won't ever offer much more for us, I ...

Re: Transfer Rumours/Wishlist
I've said it before but Joelinton is the more irreplaceable, there really aren't many midfielders like him. Bruno is brilliant but his attributes are already covered to an extent by Tonali, and of course you'd hope we sign a replacement should he go. Fingers crossed he stays of course. Bruno is rep...

Re: Dan Ashworth confirmed as gardening director
Also the fact Man Utd and Rat boy have been banging on about how great he is and how he's "the best in the world" yet at the same time bitching that they have to compensate us so they can take him on. The entitlement is unreal. The fact Ashworth is doubling down on the unprofessionalism I think is a...

Re: Dan Ashworth confirmed as gardening director
Will be glad to see the back of him, has pretty much shown himself up to be a bit of a prick. He knew the conditions of his contract when he signed, just like he knew coming here was a long term project. Feel like he's someone getting carried away with his own hype.

Re: Matchday thread - Toon v Palace
Penalty call will be used as an excuse but once again today we have been horrendous, completely lacked any direction or anything that even resembled a plan. 2nd best all over the pitch, at times we didn't even know what pass to make, so ponderous and slow on the ball, hint of rising arrogance after ...

Re: Matchday thread - Toon v Palace
If the performance wasn't frustrating enough, the commentators have suddenly decided that Eze is now Ezah.

Re: Matchday thread - Toon v Palace

Re: Matchday thread - Toon v Palace
One thing that's clear from this season is the likes of Murphy, Krafth, Longstaff, Lascelles, Dubravka need to be giving us 110% just to keep up with the players around them. When they are off it, it's become so noticeable. Think it could take 3-4 more windows to really address the squad quality as ...

Re: Weekend football - 20/21 April 2024
Offsides should never have had the lines imo, should have been the naked eye and simply a question of can you say with 100% certainty that's "clear and obviously" offside.
Handballs should have been for deliberate or ones that drastically impacted the play.

Re: Weekend football - 20/21 April 2024
A big problem with VAR is how they completely went the opposite of what they said it would be. If they had just stuck to the clear and obvious mantra they hammered on about then a lot of the issues wouldn't have happened. We went from trying to stop absolute howlers to measuring offsides by pixels a...

Re: Transfer Rumours/Wishlist
Mentioned this on twitter yesterday, they are going on like he would be a £10m buy, in this current market and with his current contract status he's £120m+, they dont have the financial power to pay what we would ask for.
The only way he's affordable is if he has a clause hidden away.

Re: Transfer Rumours/Wishlist
Both are solid signings to be fair, we just need to ship out some of the dead wood like Dummett and Ritchie to make room and i think that improves the squad a fair bit.

It's called working weekends lads. 👍 But I'm glad me having my own opinion has gotten under your skin so much <laugh> With that in mind, obviously when you've had a chance to catch up with highlights/match report etc, what would your opinion be about today Personally I think the team looked well dr...
