Re: The Message of Hate Thread

Browsing youtube last night and stumbled across a vid about "sovereign citizens" and then spent about five hours binge watching more. The existence of these monumentally annoying fuckwits had completely alluded me up until now, but they may well be the lowest form of human life yet detected. Mostly...

Re: Pavel's eBar

I wholeheartedly blame Cameron for this whole mess, who rarely gets a mention. This. We're in a constitutional crisis at the moment and nobody knows what actually controls the country: a referendum or the government. And it's entirely Cameron's fault for ruining the practice of electing a party bas...

Re: Pavel's eBar

Watching the Brexit debacle yesterday and the media truly is scrabbling about for anything to deem as newsworthy to fill LIVE broadcasts. One headline had me chuckling. "Ex Government mandarin describes what he thinks is going to happen" and the first sentence in the article from the person stated ...

Re: Pavel's eBar

Is anybody watching the new Louis Theroux? Suuuuper weird Yeah love Louis Theroux! Half the people seemed happy with the setup and half seemed pretty sad. Same, his stuff is awesome. And tbh this was probably the hardest to watch of all his stuff (yes, including that live radio rap battle he did ba...

Re: The Message of Hate Thread

The thing with antibiotic overuse though isn't about your personal resilience to bacteria, but about bacteria's resilience to the antibiotics. So even if you never use them, the overuse of them by others (I think including the massive use on livestock) is helping bacteria adapt to become resilient ...

Re: The Message of Hate Thread

As far as I'm aware I've only ever been on antibiotics once, so if I ever do need them in the future they should be quite effective for me... Ending spoiler (Hill House)

f***ing awful episode, holy crap. First five or so episodes were great, then it all started falling apart in a big mush of extended monologues, embarrassing dialogue and weepy sentiment. Gutted, it promised so much. <erk>

Re: Netflix Recommendations

I'll be on episode 5 tonight <ok> <divax> <divax> <diva> I'm watching it too, due to start ep 6 tonight. It's great, as you say it keeps you creeped out rather than relying too heavily on jumpscares. There's millions of easter eggs, unsettling stuff hidden in the background out of focus during norm...

Re: The Message of Hate Thread

When you make the mistake of letting your mother in law stay for a week after moving house after making the same mistake 4 years ago and her never leaving, then 3 weeks later wondering how the hell your going to get rid of her.... I try not to be an asshole in life, i really do. Sometimes I wonder ...

Re: Netflix Recommendations

The Confession Tapes are pretty good. It's about crimes committed in the US where police have used questionable tactics to extract confessions from people, but where it's far from clear-cut that the offender actually did anything at all. It's a documentary and uses recordings and footage from real ...

Re: The Message of Hate Thread

Not had a positive experience with any I've come across. And here lies the whole point. You're not exactly likely to cross paths with quiet, decent people who stay out of your way are you? Whereas loudmouthed arseholes are probably going to make themselves seen. To Hjl, I've had experience with ass...

Re: The Message of Hate Thread

I'm with TSI on this one. Using your experiences with some assholes as an excuse to redefine "traveller" as "thieving pikey scum" and "jippo"? Really? The Chinese whispers that fly around about what gypsies do with their time, and the eagerness with which people seem to enjoy sharing them is more th...

Re: The Message of Hate Thread

Do you pay in bulk for each module btw? Do you know if its easy to switch to paying monthly or something instead? Not easy to fork out a bulk of several thousand on this every year so I've ended up leaving a pretty long interval between two of my years. It's looking like I'll finish within a 9 year...
