Re: Matchday thread - Toon v Man U
Everything points to us winning. So, naturally, we'll probably lose.

Re: Transfer Rumours/Wishlist
The window was disappointing but not a disaster. We're significantly stronger than last season. Pope, Tonali, Barnes, Joelinton all fit and available was not something we had for the majority of the season last year. Hall and Tino have both settled and improved a great amount. With less games and a ...

Re: Transfer Rumours/Wishlist
In front of goal he went on an incredible run. My issue with Miggy that makes him a terrible player is the fact that he has 6 assists in 177 PL games. Last season Jacob Murphy got 7 assists in 21 games. Only 14 of those were starts. I think people definitely look a bit too much at goal and assist s...

Re: Transfer Rumours/Wishlist
Miggy back to MLS?? Would be an interesting move. Was actually watching two season ago compilation today, his hot streak was amazing. I dunno if he'll ever get back to that In front of goal he went on an incredible run. My issue with Miggy that makes him a terrible player is the fact that he has 6 ...

Re: Pre-season 2024-25
Yeah in theory Barnes should be an upgrade because of consistency. Of course needs to stay fit for that Maxys treble backward somersault goal celebration makes barnes' bow and arrow routine look a bit...what's the word....camp? But as exciting as a player he was, aswell as being funny when he said ...

Re: Ready, Steady, Guehi? £60m+ deal expected this week
Would be a great signing. Very level headed and got great experience considering he's only just turned 24. He's been a regular captain for Palace for a couple of years now, shows exactly what sort of character he is.

Lovenkrands Elias Sorensen JD Tomasson Are the most recent, can't remember us Sorensen made a first team appearance for us though. Ah yeah how could I forget Levenkrands! Remember when everyone thought Sorensen was the next big thing <laugh> Tbf came through the club when it was a mess and had no c...

Re: Matchday thread - Toon v Citeh
2 goals that were deflections, Willock at fault for both because he wasn't tight enough to his man. It happens. We had some chances. Isak could do no more with his left footed effort. Danny Murphy seems to think he had the whole goal to aim at when the reality was his shot went between 2 defenders. ...

Re: Matchday thread - Toon v Citeh
That gets at it for me actually. He's being directed to play so narrow, which consistently leaves him having to pick between the ball and the overlapping run, and he's then left in no man's land. If you're going to play 5 at the back the LWB and LCB have to do better, because they won't get the sam...

Well deserved. Still got plenty of areas to work on in his game but he's had a good season.

Re: Days lost through injury
I’m in a minority, and definitely not turning my nose up at anything that’s not CL. I’d take Europa League, I just don’t rate or value the conference league one bit. It’s essentially the European equivalent to the football league trophy imo. Even if it is the European equivalent of the pizza cup, I...

Re: Days lost through injury
Europa League or Europa Conference would be brilliant. If we move past our injury worries next year, we'll have an embarrassment of riches in some areas. Europe against weaker opposition would be great for making sure Miley, Anderson, Hall, Tino get key minutes to keep developing. Also be tough to k...

Re: Matchday thread - Toon v Wolves
Lewis Hall is still a teenager. There's no situation, he's just a teenager. He's younger than Alex Murphy, Michael Ndiweni, Amadou Diallo and Joe White who are all seen as kids that have made their debut this season. He's 2 years younger than Tino who is still seen as a young full back. Then why is...

Re: Matchday thread - Toon v Wolves
It is this. If he was s*** he'd be playing u23s. He's in the first team, but he's still a teenager. He is still learning and will be for a while yet.Colback's Orange Tufts wrote: ↑Sat Mar 02, 2024 6:37 pmIs he in a weird hinterland where too good for u23s but not ready to start yet? Re: Matchday thread - Toon v Wolves
I agree Longstaff needs a break, but he's done alot this season. He's played so so much football and is clearly knackered. Earlier on in the season he was making good forward runs on the right, but it's all so patched up now. If he'd had competition /chance to rest I think we'd be seeing better per...

Re: Matchday thread - Toon v Wolves
The yellow rule this season is a little silly, I don't know why the cut off isn't mid season like normal. The game really is going soft, you get yellows for farting too loud these days. If you want to mess around with the reset point then at least increase the threshold for yellow card offences. Sa...

I'm not a gamer really, but went to the F1 arcade in Birmingham yesterday and it was really decent - full racing sim experience: https://f1arcade.com/ We've got one in central London and been thinking of booking something with miniOT and a few mates or head off to a go kart track for an afternoon t...
