Re: Matchday thread - Toon v Man U

Murphy’s final pass has been crap, Gordon been quite quiet - maybe swap him to the right and get Barnes on the left. Joelinton on early in the second half as Anderson isn’t really at the races today.

Re: Matchday thread - Toon v Man U

If that was against us and a team got that as a pen I’d be unhappy tbh. Not for me. Burn unlucky. Amrabat went studs in on Gordon's ankle, the ref clearly doesn't see it. https://twitter.com/ToonPolls/status/1790829481029984732?t=A5MHevKg5D4oKZDhye9QMw&s=19 Still don’t think it was a pen, and socks...

Re: Matchday thread - Toon v Man U

Not too surprised about joelinton, the club have been ripped for starting players too soon after injury and he’s hardly had many mins, now fans will have a go that we’re being careful <laugh> Yeah good point. Just think we'll miss him in the middle for a game of this magnitude. Great sub to have th...

Re: Weekend Football (Matchweek 37)

I feel like to Newcastle-Villa rivalry has subdued over the last couple of years, I'm actually pleased to see them qualify for the CL. They've had a great season, ran out of steam a little bit (understandably so) but 100% deserve their CL spot. They're a good team to watch, and Emery was harshly tre...

Re: Weekend Football (Matchweek 37)

As much as I don't want Arsenal winning the league, I thought Spurs fans were embarrassing tonight. I actually came round to wanting Arsenal to win it of the three times who were in contention for most of the season. They’ve been by far consistently the best team to watch for most of the season. Se...

Re: Weekend Football (Matchweek 37)

Son could’ve almost handed Arsenal the title, Man City go up the other end and get a second to win the game and essentially the title.

Re: Weekend Football (Matchweek 37)

Gary Neville was 50/50 between picking Ben White or TAA as his right back of the season. Has he been on drugs?! Trent has been absolute gash for most of the season!

Liverpool are interested in Newcastle United's 23-year-old England winger Anthony Gordon, who began his career at Merseyside rivals Everton. (Star)

Right you are then ……. 🤣
I laughed when I was reading it and laughed even harder when I read ‘Star’.

Re: Matchday thread - Toon v Seagulls

Anderson hasn't kicked on this season because of injuries. Honestly, I have no idea how good he is. I actually think that despite limited game time due to injuries, he’s shown that he can be a very good player for us. Definitely shown enough in the games he’s had. It was unfortunate that he got inj...

Re: Matchday thread - Toon v Seagulls

Barnes for me needs to be given a proper chance, he's constantly in and out the team, he's played great in some games then seen himself out the next game, I can forgive some of his inconsistency because of this, he needs a proper run in the team., its clear to see he has bags of quality. Murphy i f...

Re: Transfer Rumours/Wishlist

Yeah he will definitely play, an annoyance this season is how little we have seen Dummett, Ritchie, Targett, all taking up space but offering little to no minutes for us even during the injury crisis. So replacing these with players who can compete for games is a step forward. Where the **** is Mat...

Re: Transfer Rumours/Wishlist

I see Kelly as a replacement for Targett/Dummett. He's not going to be first choice CB or LB. I'm probably more concerned with the Olise rumours tbh. I'm really not ready for another player with spaghettified hamstrings, especially at a rumoured 60m Yeah Kelly would be cover in a couple of position...

Re: Weekend Football (Matchweek 37)

He is knocking on a bit now, so a bit of the Man U effect and a bit of natural aging I think. Yeah agreed. Think that's the reason Real Madrid were happy to let him go. He was never blessed with pace anyway and now he's lost a yard or two the games too fast paced for him. Reminds me of Sol Campbell...
