He reminds me of how Krul started. Fantastic shot stopper, but poor when commanding his area and coming for crosses. Krul took a couple of years to sort that out and look at him now. De Gea will do the same.

I don't understand the bit about Simmo. His crossing is decent. In fact I don't think anyone except Raylor and Cabaye can cross better than him, which is quite frightening actually Perhaps if Raylor played until the end of the season on RM then Simpson would improve? He needs lots of cover, he does...

I agree, but I'd go an orthodox 4-4-2 with Raylor and Jonas on the wings. I guess with that tho we'd end up with full backs that are essentially more attacking than our wingers. Santon and Ferguson would bomb down the flanks but Jonas and Raylor could easily cover them. I think we'd have more succes...
