Re: Computer Workshop
Not really, in my opinion. Go into PC World and have a look at a MacBook Pro and a similarly spec'd Toshiba or HP; they might be similar in terms of processor, hard drive etc. but they'll be nowhere near in terms of build quality, display, audio and design, which are far more important to most peop...

Re: Computer Workshop
That's such a sweeping statement. Generally they're not better performing in my opinion and Windows is horrendous to use on a daily basis, especially for someone who's been using OSX. Does anyone ever make the switch from Mac to Windows? If you don't want to spend the money on a Mac your best bet i...

I haven't used them but they're who I'd try if I needed a new computer. You can spec it exactly as you want, you get everything you need, you're not paying for stuff you don't want, no bloatware, and the prices seem decent.

Great match between Kohlschreiber and Murray. Kohlschreiber was excellent in the second and really should have won the match.
Djokovic beaten by Kyrgios in Acapulco, Nadal into the semis.

Shocking loss for Federer in Dubai. Wawrinka out yesterday as well. Should be a formality for Murray to win the tournament now.
Really surprised by Federer's result after how he played in Australia, hopefully we'll see some more magic from him this year and that wasn't just a flash in the pan.

Come on, that's not true, there are worse than Savage - Hoadie signed up to an internet message board anonymously to big up his anonymous internet persona.skalpel wrote:Savage is actually the only human being who would ever do that.

Pathetic from Williams to hire a driver like that, it's like when they sacked Hulkenberg so Maldonado could drive for them. Sauber's line up is disgraceful as well. Ferrari's start has been very encouraging, very fast from the off, both drivers seem to be able to set quick laps with ease which is su...

Re: Pavel's eBar
Anyone listened to the new podcast with Robbie Savage and Freddie Flintoff? Whether you like them or not I've got a good insight into the mentality of sports people. Savage just talked about low confidence and how, when at Derby, he had an anonymous account on a Derby message board and would go on ...

One always has to be worst, everyone who has ever farted has a worst one, yours just happens to also be your most recent. What's the problem?

Jesus <erk>. Must have been utter misery. I'll be off to the doctor if it hasn't cleared up in a few days time, hoping it's the kind of tonsillitis that they give you something for. Apparently if it's just the viral one they send you home with an aspirin <erk>. They always gave me antibiotics even ...

Christ, forgot I started this discussion! Funny story that someone I work with got divorced recently and signed up to a dating site that produced a list of suitable matches based on interests etc. One of the matches was only their ex-husband! <laugh> <laugh> At least their matching algorithm works ...

Re: Amateur Football Team
That's a good shout. There are quite a few Sportings in the area, even a few Bayerns as well. The only thing my town is really known for is making linen. I suppose you could use Millers from that? AFC Millers or some such? There is a castle that's probably the main feature of the town and I'm pushi...

Re: Amateur Football Team
Yeah I would take OT's advice. Is your area known for any particular industry (historically or otherwise)? Thinking of Soviet/Socialist names in that respect e.g. Shakhtar, Lokomotiv. Arsenal are a good example of this too, and Vauxhall Motors. And North American sports teams like Pittsburgh Steele...
