Re: Pavel's eBar
Never understood why people do this. Even in the event of some freak storm do you really have such little food in the house that you'd starve to death if you were snowed in for a day. You always get people rolling down the aisles buying Doritos by the trolley load, if the cold doesn't get them malnutrition will. I saw a woman being interviewed in the US before that huge blizzard they had, she was stocking up on laundry detergent.overseasTOON wrote:Just a word of warning for those in South East England and London. Up to 2 cm (0.8 inches) of snow is possible this Thursday so batten down the hatches, stock up on food supplies and stay at home because all transport links will fail at the first flake and any attempts to get into work will be futile.
Save as many as you can.

Re: Pavel's eBar
I remember a heavy blizzard years back when I lived in a small isolated town and we were told to stock up as the town was likely to be cut off for 3 to 4 days so I went to the local supermarket with my wife and we bought a few extra pints of milk and an extra loaf of bread on top of our usual shop and ther bloke in front of us had several litres of vodka and a few bottles of coke.AbsolutelyGlorious wrote:Never understood why people do this. The rest of the supermarket was full of people buying everything in bulk.
That bloke with the vodka became my new hero.

Golf is good fun.
The best bit is slicing off the first tee towards the car park and quickly seeing how many you get running out the club house to see if it's their car alarm going off.
My PB was 6.

I love the riposte from Trumps advisors about the Vatican having walls seeing that the Vatican walls are older then the USA.
