I'm just gonna put it out there and say "unforseen family circumstances" may mean "done a Keith Vaz".

Handed in my notice yesterday afternoon. In front of the whole company during a meeting I was royally shafted.
Turns out there was a company reshuffle in terms of company structure and a director position was up for grabs and I wasn't even aware of it.

I've got an interview this coming week for a position split between London and Paris so hoping all goes well.

Re: Pavel's eBar
Two interviews for next week.
The split London/Paris one didn't go to plan as I'm pretty rusty in terms of practice so an ex colleague of mine is helping me out this weekend.
I got asked questions about how I deal with diversity and equality which threw me somewhat as I had to provide examples and I thought it was just a stupid question.

Had that same question in interviews before, such a **** question being asked for PC purposes. I do project support work and got asked something's along the lines of 'how do you account for equality and diversity in your work'.

I did start to stutter trying to answer a question like that but then simply said that I've never had an issue with either equality or diversity in any profession I've worked in but I was prompted to think of one.Bodacious Benny wrote:Had that same question in interviews before, such a **** question being asked for PC purposes. Am I supposed to state that I used to be a white bigoted and discrimonatory a**hole or something but I went on a course?

I did an online equality and diversity course so am merely an a**hole now. There isn't an online course for that, yet.overseasTOON wrote:I did start to stutter trying to answer a question like that but then simply said that I've never had an issue with either equality or diversity in any profession I've worked in but I was prompted to think of one.Bodacious Benny wrote:Had that same question in interviews before, such a **** question being asked for PC purposes. My wife just gave me a great response for diversity for Ramadan I implemented about 8 years ago.Bodacious Benny wrote:I did an online equality and diversity course so am merely an a**hole now. There isn't an online course for that, yet.overseasTOON wrote:

Just need to find a non Weinstein example now.
Re: Pavel's eBar
Glad I can dodge questions like that here. I'm pretty sure the closest you'd get to a diversity question in Texas is which form of bigotry do you most prefer.....

Re: Pavel's eBar
I'm usually pretty quick witted with stupid questions like that, I just give them some **** spiel based on what I think they want to hear, like saying how a diverse team can bring in diverse opinion and skills, then blab on about how different life experiences be it cultural or physical can bring different problem solving skills to the table and give the existing team new ideas and ways to move forward. I'll do this whilst simultaneously deleting Halloween pictures of myself made up as Tina turner, from Facebook.overseasTOON wrote:I did start to stutter trying to answer a question like that but then simply said that I've never had an issue with either equality or diversity in any profession I've worked in but I was prompted to think of one.Bodacious Benny wrote:Had that same question in interviews before, such a **** question being asked for PC purposes. Had a real craving for milk this weekend for some reason, onto my 6th pint.
Not the kind of pint I usually drink at weekends
Still managed to fit in a few beers and whiskeys tho.
