The good thing about a virtual job interview is that you can s*** yourself and nobody will know

Re: Pavel's eBar
I’d say even if you’re remote working it’s not unreasonable for them to ask you to be in the office on one day per month, and there might very likely be a line in your contract that covers them to ask that e.g. on occasion visiting site (or something along those lines).gola wrote: ↑Mon May 30, 2022 9:58 pmi started a job wkin from home in march and love it but now they sayin that i need to come in once a month and the office is in warwick so thats like 3 hrs drive or long train. i didnt sign up to this and my contract says homeworkin bt obvs dnt wanna piss them off whilke in my prob period so wat do i do? wat excuse can i make for not bein able to go??

Afternoon all...
Going to a stag in Liverpool this weekend and trying to find a decent club/late night bar to go to later on the Saturday. Anywhere that plays a mix of music but preferably rock/Britpop/Indie etc. Just somewhere that isn't dance/hip hop and full of young posers etc.
Any ideas? I'm clueless

Average age of the group is around the same as this forum. We're all 30odd now so we want somewhere that isn't exclusively full of young uns, for fear of feeling like a right

Good move from Rolls Royce:
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-61874786
Recruiting/Training/Re-Training new staff (especially technical) costs a fortune so a gesture like this should help with staff retention, morale, motivation etc.
My work has given us 3 extra close days at Xmas so finish on the 16th December and not back until 03rd January and don't have to use any annual leave
