Just booked Cancun with the missus

Just booked to go there too, in June next year though

First time going outside of Europe so pretty keen!

So far it looks like I'll be back to Singapore next year for a friends wedding and then off to Thailand for 3 weeks to stay with old family friends who have retired there.

The annoying part is that the vast majority of my annual leave will be taken up and gone by the first week of April so I go 8 months without any decent time off.

I usually like to stagger a series of short breaks away over the year.

Going to Baden-Baden for a few days in March after getting a voucher for cancelled Ryanair flight. It was the notorious home of the WAGs for that painful couple of weeks in 2006. Actually looks really nice there though, it has an old grand casino and natural thermal baths.

Will probably be going to Croatia again next year (May or June) thinking of Sibenik this time - if anybody has been there let me know. I have to be very careful as this missus tends not to consult the fixture list when she books holidays!

Yeah, I went to NZ for 3 weeks last year, I get 21 days annual leave a year at work so went about 7/8 months with no holidays other than bank hols.

I did the same when I went to South Africa for the whole of February and first week of March.

Got out of the holiday conundrum by resigning the day I got back. Although ended up owing the company money for taking more days than was entitled to by the time I left.

So looks like Singapore in July for my mates wedding! So happy it's not start of May and I can also plan a few small trips around Europe for the rest of the year as well to break everything up.
