Re: the weather
Currently sunny, a bit breezy. No thunder, no lightning, no torrential rain, no hurricanes, no fallen trees, no flooding, no devastation, no pestilence, no famine, no four horsemen of the apocalypse. Massive anti climax as usual, it's quite a nice day.

Re: the weather
The suburb of London I live in breathes with a sigh of relief today after suffering St Judes storm. With indescribable fury it passed through late last night and this morning I spent some time walking through the storm ravaged suburb in a state of shock.
Everywhere I looked the trees had been raped by the hurricane force winds, their leaves ripped asunder leaving them exposed as if it were the end of Autumn.
I saw families cleaning up the mess from their ravaged homes.
They didn't cry or bemoan fate but simply cleaned up with a sense of dignity that evoked feelings of the Dunkirk Spirit. We may have taken a pasting but by Britishness we'll sort ourselves out.
The roads were strewn with branches making them impassable to all but the most stolid and determined of commuters but they bravely battled through to get to trains station devoid of trains.
We have been through our own Katrina. We will survive.

Now and take it all. Can't give your dastardly neighbours the chance to get there before you.outre-merTOON wrote:Do I raid the grit bin at the bottom of the road now or actually wait until it snows?AbsolutelyGlorious wrote:http://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/436170 ... r-November

But I bet they haven't made half as much fuss as we did about our blustery day...
And yeah raid the grit bin now, there'll be none left when it actually snows because the councils would've wasted it all on several sharp frosts.

Raid it, then sell it to your neighbours for an inflated feeoutre-merTOON wrote:Do I raid the grit bin at the bottom of the road now or actually wait until it snows?AbsolutelyGlorious wrote:http://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/436170 ... r-November
