Flash poll
Right, a lot of people trying to be twats here, I'll take the diplomatic approach
2 options:
Option 1
I'll reverse the SLIGHT changes in rules re: loans and the last 24 hours will be removed.
As long as you have the capability of getting a loan, you can bid, no need to take out the loan first
Cal and LIDL's auctions will start again.
I will reverse any loans managers wish for one day only
(people seem to have missed the existing rule which pays out the top 5 players too)
Happy to add in the additional prize money for highest place div 2 players too if people want, that was the only decent suggestion in the lot
Option 2
You want to go with different rules
Scrap points and just have wins
Lots of money for good players who win games
I stand down

Re: Flash poll
So you definitely won't budge on the prize money for topping a game? Or the removal of player values?

That would be option 2You Can Call Me Yo wrote:So you definitely won't budge on the prize money for topping a game? Or the removal of player values?
Idea of player values and wages are that the top players have higher wages which means they need to win more, just like a proper football club (minus the billionaires)
If I set all the values, everyone would complain so I've given the chance for the managers to do this as in a normal club
However, some managers would set players really low if they could if they didn't think they would leave, which defeats the point (the player wouldnt play for free in real life!) so we have to have a release clause activation.
At present a club can win £5.7m per week tops
£1.5m for 6 points
3 x 1st = £3m
6 x top 5 = £1.2m

Re: Flash poll
I went with option 1 but I feel a slight increase in winnings is needed to counter loans. Even if that's an increase in the money for winning a match or even increasing a top 5 finish to 500kPardew's Legendary Specs wrote:That would be option 2You Can Call Me Yo wrote:So you definitely won't budge on the prize money for topping a game? Re: Flash poll
If we can get an overwhelming response for option 1, i will do all the work later today and see no reason that it still cant end sunday 11pm as before. Both players are keen to play and it gives the managers enough time to bid (2 1/2 days!)doakes wrote:Restarting the auction, and ends this week, or next?

Option 1 was exactly what I wanted
Keep the original rules and just get rid of the new ones which were only there to please The Duke.

The rule about bidding as much as a potential loan would allow you to solves the problem. The Duke wrote:quiet Derek, no they weren'tTJR_NUFC wrote:Option 1 was exactly what I wanted

Re: Flash poll
I'll go for the t*** approach which contained only one decent suggestion.
Re: Flash poll
Why would you feel you need to stand down just because logical and understandable rules are implemented? Why does everything have to be so convoluted?

Re: Flash poll
You do a really good job of running this though, put lots of effort into it which is laudable. My problem is that I have a lot on at the minute and though I enjoy a bit of flash games competition, I don't when its this complex. I enjoy the competition between teams but I just don't have the time to care about percentage add-ons, interest fees and buy-out clauses. It was more fun to me when player sales were negotiated and you could work out who was winning immediately by looking at the scores in the arcade etc. I don't think you should step down, but I just personally wanted everything a bit more simple. Obviously it looks like nearly everybody else disagrees with me though .

Re: Flash poll
its all about balance, i was going to tweak it slightly at the end of the season to make it a bit simpler. The problem is when you are losing, people give up rather than fighting.skalpel wrote:You do a really good job of running this though, put lots of effort into it which is laudable. Also loans, and buy out clauses etc are something for the managers to worry about
