Re: Brighton (H) - match thread
This going to be a s*** game with Brighton having most of the possession.
0-1 Brighton
0-1 Brighton
Re: Brighton (H) - match thread
If it anit broke don't fix it?
Shame there's no Miggy though.. I don't understand?
Fair enough if we're playing away to a top 4/6 team and we want to shore it up a bit with Hendrick in there to tuck in as a extra midfielder/wide-man but against Brighton at home we should be looking to be more attacking and positive.. let Fraser, Miggy & ASM unleash there pace and skill behind Wilson with Hayden/Shelvey/Hendrick holding..
No Longstaff on the bench? Are they injured?

Re: Brighton (H) - match thread
Hendrick got a goal and an assist v West Ham so would be mad to bring in Miggy over him. Hendrick got forward a lot, so it’s not like we’re being defensive by playing him.

Re: Brighton (H) - match thread
Fair point. I just want to see the Miggy-Fraser-ASM trio behind Wilson.. but your right it'll be wrong to just put Miggy and Fraser straight away in after Carroll and Hendrick's performances.Bodacious Benny wrote: ↑Sun Sep 20, 2020 12:27 pmHendrick got a goal and an assist v West Ham so would be mad to bring in Miggy over him. It won’t be long until Carroll is injured again and Miggy can come back in

7 English players starting for us today. Can't remember when we last fielded that many?

Even better start.

Turned off already. Useless cunts.
It’s the noise, the passion, the feeling of belonging, the pride in your city.
Re: Brighton (H) - match thread
This system/formation doesn't suit this game.. I can tell already. ASM is not a player who should be tracking back and having to defend. It doesn't suit him.. rigid and too many longballs/hoof ball. As much as Carroll gives us a presence in the air & he's a decent enough target-man he doesn't have that mobility or pace.. with the players we have we should be able to play a fluid attacking based system with some decent possession, ball control and width play.
