That should have been 0 v 0. Nobody deserved to win that turd match but I'll take the 3 points.

A tad shocked to be honest. Nicked a win but made it look almost convincing.

This.

Joelinton played his role in the last goals. Good strength, vision and link-up play for the first & good run with a big touch of luck for the second. What a lovely win.. even though the performance wasn't great we got the win & that's what matters. <diva> <awe>

Joelinton deserved his goal, was the best player on the pitch tonight and looked a real threat.

Never doubted ya Brucey!

That was a tough watch. Both sides were incredibly poor. Lost count at the number of botched passes and miscontrolled balls.

Wilson keeping us up single handedly at this rate.

Just realised we've got a pretty decent run of games coming up, I thought we had some big teams coming but not til City on Boxing Day. Granted we're still awful but could be a good time to pick up some points.

Villa away and WBA at home, wouldn’t be unhappy with 3 points tbh. Depends which Villa we get.

Leeds and Fulham straight after. Leeds and Villa as you say could be tricky, but I'd have to target 6 points at least from those 4.

This. Could see us winning at Villa then losing to WBA.. would be typical Newcastle. <laugh>

The Leeds game is literally a 50-50 game as good as Leeds are attacking there as bad defending.. could be a classic 4-3 to either side but knowing Brucey he'll pack 5 at the back and it'll be a dull 0-0 or 0-1 to them.. <urgh>

After Villa, WBA, Leeds & Fulham.. We should expect, well aim for 6-7 points with WBA/Fulham very winnable and possible draws against Villa/Leeds but both have beaten & given the top 6 sides really good games so even if we lose I won't be too upset. After this tidy run of games we have City (a), Liverpool (h) & Leicester (h).. any point from those would be a bonus & 3 would be incredible. <awe>

Too few people will say it, but I actually can't remember a league game in which he got himself into more good positions. People rightfully have mocked his finishing, but I've always thought the biggest issue, especially when playing up front last season, was that he he didn't get himself into good attacking positions in the box to even be ready for chances. Tonight he was actually all around their box and getting on the end of things.

Pretty mediocre match. But as Sherwood was saying on the international matchday feed, it's really hard for two sides that normally concede so much possession to flick a switch and suddenly try and play on the front foot. Sure enough, even with more intent there was a severe lack of chemistry or quality. I don't think it was a robbery of 3 points though. Either side could have won - having actually created some chances (rare for both).

Can't have it. Joelinton was short tonight. Hope he can kick on from the deflected goal but even that was a poor effort and the bloke should have had a hattrick at least before it and it's not good enough to let him off. Bet you if Wilson, who is the f***ing business by the way, hadn't put it to 1-0, Joelinton fucks his up somehow too. TBH I want the bloke to do well of course, but it's got to the point now whereby given the chance I'd cut loose.

Just want to add, as well. I slagged off Karl Darlow previously. Said he wasn't good enough. Hands up, I got that wrong.
