We’ve wasted no time at all in dragging Trippier to a new underwhelming standard of performance

Lobbing balls into a packed league one defence with Fraser, Joelinton and ASM to attack probably wasn't the best approach.

If it was EH thinking about building some momentum going strong today, well it’s spectacularly backfired.
Maybe a deeply cunning trick to avoid a cup run to concentrate on the league.

Went to the Hull Vs Everton game so missed the second half, seems like I made the right decision .
Honestly not too fussed, really don't need a cup run right now, all focus needed to be on the league so I can't say I'm too bothered. Can't really comment o the full game but from the first half viewing we really need to get a striker in asap. ASM cannot lead the line at all, just doesn't have that killer instinct.

This might be a bit harsh, but I think if Darlow had made the same hash of the goal yesterday, plus some of Dubravka's recent clangers that we've just got away with for the most part he'd be getting absolutely pilloried here and elsewhere. I do think Dubravka is better, but the gap between the two is nowhere near as vast as people like to make out, and we could certainly improve. Not a priority of course.

Don’t think that’s harsh at all….Dubravka is not performing to anything like his best previous form.Colly wrote: ↑Sun Jan 09, 2022 10:29 amThis might be a bit harsh, but I think if Darlow had made the same hash of the goal yesterday, plus some of Dubravka's recent clangers that we've just got away with for the most part he'd be getting absolutely pilloried here and elsewhere. Couldn’t believe his weird efforts at the goal yesterday.
He looks quite a bit more vulnerable now, in parallel with the ongoing erosion of our defence as a whole, its very flaky looking.

I think that assessment is fair. Dubravka better but not by much and Darlow would've been dropped had he put in performances on par with Dub's recent ones.
And yes not a priority to upgrade he is still one of our better players.

Luton Town at home for Cambridge in the next round for what's it worth.

Acht well over the FA cup shithousery from us now, that tie would have been the banana skin for the next round. Cambridge did us a favour.UlversToon wrote: ↑Sun Jan 09, 2022 6:00 pmLuton Town away for Cambridge in the next round for what's it worth.
I’d rather we win on Saturday now, far more important.

Kidderminster v West Ham, great tie.
