Came to post the same thing , Im looking at the site trying to find the "fan" version for £30-40 then I realised this is the price of shirts these days. Like a few are saying will wait till it's cheaper as I can't justify paying £70 for a football shirt. Hopefully some decent sales closer to Christmas.Cal wrote: ↑Sat Jun 10, 2023 8:48 amIt's showing as £70 at the club shop? I'll still wait until it's cheaper though, for some reason £30 is still how much a football top costs in my mind.
Replica shirt has the embroidered badge, and there's no sleeve sponsor in the pictures

Re: 23/24 NUFC Kit Leaked?
Is the Castore deal not slightly different than usual. I believe it's a lower fee however NUFC get a percentage of shirt sales.
Compared to the rest where it's a flat fee regardless of sales No.s.
Re: 23/24 NUFC Kit Leaked?
No idea, but it was interesting to hear Jamie Reuben's answer to "dream shirt sponsors", acknowledging some of the issues Castore have had, then talking up Nike and the like.
Re: 23/24 NUFC Kits Thread
what i heard was they pay a set fee (a very small one at that) and the club receives no money from shirt sales that exceeds that amount.
Thought it was just bollocks as usual that's why i asked if anyone knows how much we get from them.

“First, financially, there’s a significant investment going in, which is clearly important,” Beahon says. Without going into “commercially sensitive” specifics, he explains how Castore has paid Newcastle a “significant rights fee”, will provide kit for all levels of the club (male, female and academy), and royalties and bonuses. There is no “minimum guarantee” of a buyback of merchandise for the club, as is commonplace. Instead, Castore is operating both the official store and the website on Newcastle’s behalf. The club is “heavily incentivised” to help increase sales. This is different to the “club-manufacturer model” agreed with Wolves, where China is the plus point for Castore. With Newcastle, it is their domestic and global support base.
Wonderfully vague from the Castore owner there about the Newcastle deal.

Have to believe the heavily incentivized to help increase sales speaks to bonuses or per unit revenue - likely made expecting an upswing of sales beyond the existing levels that wouldn't have justified a higher flat fee.

Apparently Villa tied into the same s*** deal as usOver The Line wrote: ↑Tue Jun 13, 2023 2:44 pm“First, financially, there’s a significant investment going in, which is clearly important,” Beahon says. By comparison, a Merthyr town away kit in shakhtar donetsk orange costs £50 and that includes a built in donation to a Ukraine support fund. So that's presumably an extra £25 odd that goes into somebodies pocket somewhere for the new castore kit.Don Sholeone wrote: ↑Sat Jun 10, 2023 9:51 amCame to post the same thing , Im looking at the site trying to find the "fan" version for £30-40 then I realised this is the price of shirts these days. There's a link between the two sides as the donetsk club was founded by some welsh miners, the original town name being named after a guy from Merthyr.

Is it people on Twitter moaning like they always do? It’s just been released so demand will be high and stock low, it’ll hardly kill people to wait a couple of weeks.

I saw something on Facebook, so probably not true, about somebody having been sent a Rangers shirt when he ordered a Toon top!

it's like most things these days you can't tell if it's actually a thing or just a bunch of idiots on the net going into melt down at the slightest thing.Bodacious Benny wrote: ↑Mon Jun 19, 2023 4:37 pmIs it people on Twitter moaning like they always do? I've heard that people got sent wrong orders and had extras in with their delivery.UlversToon wrote: ↑Mon Jun 19, 2023 4:51 pmI saw something on Facebook, so probably not true, about somebody having been sent a Rangers shirt when he ordered a Toon top!
I've had this before when play dot com was a thing. Ordered some Rolling Stones slippers and received some women's joggers with "bling bling" written across the arse cheeks. I was the winner that day.
