The pitch seems in quite poor condition, relatively speaking for an establish premier league team.

It didn't ... 1-1.
Re: Matchday thread - Toon v Palace
Can't watch the match cos I'm in work. Anyone want to give me a proper summary of the match? (Reddit seems to think everything is Longstaff's fault)

How are we doing? Stats make it look one sided, and not in our favour.

One thing that's clear from this season is the likes of Murphy, Krafth, Longstaff, Lascelles, Dubravka need to be giving us 110% just to keep up with the players around them. When they are off it, it's become so noticeable. Think it could take 3-4 more windows to really address the squad quality as a whole.
Re: Matchday thread - Toon v Palace
Haven't got into our stride at all, glimpses towards the end of the half but nothing special. Palace have had most of the ball but haven't done anything with it - so not worrying just yet.bodacious benny wrote: ↑Wed Apr 24, 2024 7:53 pmHow are we doing? Well that was coming. Should have made changes at half time.

Murphy is so far out of his f***ing depth, shame we dont have any actual fullbacks on the bench

Glasner has done a great job at Palace considering the shambles they were under Hodgson
I'll Hazard a guess

Re: Matchday thread - Toon v Palace
Unless we're massively scuppered by FFP I really don't see this. We've had an absurdly disrupted season between Tonali and an injury crisis to an extent I've never seen watching this club, there's no way most of those should be anything other than Ritchie style last resorts any normal season with an addition or two. I also think that's really harsh on Dubravka and Murphy, who are decent enough rotation options.Don Sholeone wrote: ↑Wed Apr 24, 2024 7:58 pmOne thing that's clear from this season is the likes of Murphy, Krafth, Longstaff, Lascelles, Dubravka need to be giving us 110% just to keep up with the players around them.
