If the performance wasn't frustrating enough, the commentators have suddenly decided that Eze is now Ezah.
Re: Matchday thread - Toon v Palace

Re: Matchday thread - Toon v Palace
Not seen it but online commentary says minimal contact. Tbh I’m not a fan of players throwing themselves to the ground at the faintest of contact (not saying that’s what this was, just in general).
I'm the scumbag outlaw. You're the pillar of justice. Neither of us like looking at ourselves in the mirror. Do we have a deal?
Re: Matchday thread - Toon v Palace
Longstaff's in, Hughes is beaten and pulls across him with his arm. You can talk about contact all you like with attempted tackles, but he's clearly impeded him in the area, it's a clear penalty.

Another one of those decisions that would be given on a different day. No consistency. Is anyone happy with VAR at this point? I know this stuff kind of evens out over the season but it just seems to be causing more drama than it's solving tbh.

Whilst not entirely a surprising loss away there , it’s a frickin right depressing result.
A right scunner.

Not like we deserved anything from the game anyway tbh. Palace are deserved winners. We just didn't turn up.

Re: Matchday thread - Toon v Palace
Penalty call will be used as an excuse but once again today we have been horrendous, completely lacked any direction or anything that even resembled a plan. 2nd best all over the pitch, at times we didn't even know what pass to make, so ponderous and slow on the ball, hint of rising arrogance after the spurs game maybe? but who knows. For the umpteenth time this season performance nowhere near good enough.
Re: Matchday thread - Toon v Palace
On the plus side at least we didn't ship 5 like West Ham. The away form has been poor all season, how we finish will likely come down to the next 3 (two at home and Burnley away), because I don't fancy us going to Old Trafford needing something.
