Pretty wild to see basically the entire starting line-up out there so early in pre-season. I'm not complaining, it's good to get them up to speed as soon as possible, but I'm still surprised.

Just over two weeks until the start of the season so the first team need game time.

Oh I'm glad they did it, it makes sense to. I guess I should say I'm surprised clubs don't do it more in pre-season. Maybe that's the case more for these huge international tours some clubs do that wear out their players more. Watched Spurs and Roma last night and Tottenham had hardly any starters playing.

That's the way football is now, it's all about the money. I've often said that the prem should have a winter break like other european leagues, the sheer pile up around xmas is ridiculous. Yet clubs would just end up staging money spinning games in the downtime.
