Hopefully we get someone effective in with the new ownership. It could revolutionise the club.
I'm surprised Rafa didn't do this as part of his reorg this past year or two. Not that I know his track record when it's come to the academy at past clubs.

Not sure anyone can understand Beardsley so how they could appreciate being the victims of racist language is beyond me .

I know from experience that a period of leave is not a good thing. The fact that it's been officially announce, I would assume it's paid leave. I might be wrong, mind. Pretty sure he won't work another day for the club though. If the claims are true, then hopefully more punishment is to come. But innocent until proven guilty, so if the claims are untrue, then hopefully he will get at most an ambassadorial position at the club. Great player as he was, as has been said, we need an actual coach at this level.

If he’s guilty get rid . That article from the daily fail is absolute horse s*** as usual though so basing an opinion on him from that is harsh.

I agree he should be peddled for results alone but in regards to these allegations he’s innocent to proven guilty .

If any of that is even remotely true he should have been binned years ago.

Innocent until proven guilty really only applies to the court of law. When there's this much smoke, there's probably fire, and considering his terrible track record of developing young players, he should be gone.

Yea, what's the deal with that? I haven't really been paying attention. Seems the smallest of our problems right now.

I thought it was a bigger joke about the fact he never had a chance at the top job anyway.

It's a pretty big story really, especially if you're trying to recruit international players who now wonder if they'll receive racist abuse from coaches. I mean, there are plenty of other reasons to steer clear too, but it's pretty brutal PR, and if true (and I believe it is), pretty awful stuff for players to have gone through.

And we have all been wondering why there's never a youngster who can make it through the youth ranks... Seems like the answer has been right in front of us all along. Shameful.

I think a lot of us have been suggesting the coaches were s*** for years. It’s not just any possible bullying that stands in their way... it’s the substandard coaching.

Yeah, I know of the concerns that the coaches have not been good enough, and I can understand how people think that way.
Still, it doesn't matter how good a coach is if he isn't able to give the kids confidence. It doesn't matter how bad he is either, it will drain the will these kids have to reach max potential.
