Leicester City (h) - Live on BT sport

The game is a sell-out and the visitors have taken their full allocation of 3,000 places in L7.
Saturday is 125 years to the day that the club was renamed from Newcastle East End to Newcastle United at a public meeting, a more popular choice than alternatives: Newcastle and Newcastle city .
NUFC: Jamaal Lascelles and Christian Atsu both return to the squad, while Paul Dummett has a reserve team runout on Friday night as he nears a comeback.
Should he keep his place, Karl Darlow will complete a half century of appearances for Newcastle (currently he's made 45 league starts + four in the League cup .
Parking: Northumbria University offer weekend car parking to the public for £4 all day (or £1 per hour). 500 spaces are available at Lipman and City Campus East: book online here or turn up to pay & display.

The Foxes arrive looking for their third successive PL victory, following home wins over Burnley and Spurs.

Need to win today. Anything less will be a poor result, no excuses.
Cue the inevitable 2-0 loss.

Re: Match Day thread . NUFC v Leicester
Really looking forward to this tonight. Pre match plans sound great, it's going to be a special atmosphere.
Hopefully events on the pitch can live up to those planned off it. It would be very Newcastle United to lose on our birthday though.

Good luck to anyone sitting in the top of the Milburn/SJH stand tonight! Poor buggers!
Re: Match Day thread . NUFC v Leicester
I always found the top to be alright, somehow the roof and sides kept it warmer. Corner of Leazes and East is the coldest I've ever been at a football match, and typically it was the one I took my wife to. She's never been back.

Anyone watching the West Ham Chelsea game, Chelsea are playing s****, typical that they wernt this bad against us.
Re: Match Day thread . NUFC v Leicester
Playing like this they'd still beat us. No way would we be pressing like West Ham.

Can't see us winning today

Re: Match Day thread . NUFC v Leicester
Leicester won their previous two matches and I don't think they are gonna win 3 in a row - so - my guess is draw or we're gonna win.
Re: Match Day thread . NUFC v Leicester
Not feeling totally optimistic about this to be honest. I think it'll be a scrappy 1-1 draw.
Re: Match Day thread . NUFC v Leicester
Tbh, that prediction is quite optimistic... I fear Vardy tonight.jack wrote:Not feeling totally optimistic about this to be honest. I think it'll be a scrappy 1-1 draw.
