Flip side of that argument is that it's no coincidence that his best loan spells have been in League One...

Barnsley started well but wasn't sustained.
Didn't his Barnsley performances change because they put him on the wing?

Couldn't tell you tbh. I know that Bolton were apparently plating him out of position.

Its not like he set it up on a plate for the guy like. it was a short sideways pass 30 yards out

Lucky that he was still on the pitch at that point though.

Hes a liabilty, end of. I like him alot as well, hes got a fire inside him he just cant utilise it properly like a Diego Costa for example.. hes also quite thick to put it bluntly and doesnt defend well from the front in the way that Joselu does (Not that he does it WELL either but he does it better than Mitro and has a better understanding of the way we set up in that regard)
With all due respect, besides Rafa's decision to play Joselu, I've seen no firm evidence of that.
I think the fact that Rafa picks Joselu over Mitro when Mitro is probably better at putting the ball in the net speaks volumes alone, Rafa is a man who is completely obsessed with football and analyses everything can you really see unpredictable Mitro following orders as well as Joselu?

I think it comes down to this - Mitro ability wise is a bit better but mentally Joselu is much stronger.

I can believe Rafa believes that to be true, and seeing as he's the manager that's all that matters. But it doesn't necessarily mean he's actually a better defender, or we're necessarily more effective with him playing. Not that defense stats are very meaningful, or tell a full story, but it's still funny that Mitro over his seasons with us actually meet or exceed Joselu in a number of defensive categories (on a per 90 minutes basis).

According to reports looks like we will be getting rid of Toney in the summer not surprised he's struggled in his last 2 loan spells.

He'll have no shortage of takers at that level when we sell him in summer. If a proven international striker who's scoring in the Championship can't get a look in then Armstrong certainly won't.

I think it'd be a huge mistake if we sold him.

If his face fits he'll get a game. Strong chance we'll be changing manager this summer as well at the minute. Not necessarily a bad thing either.

I think you could realistically him behind a decent striker in place of Perez right now and you wouldn't be able to tell the difference.

Tbh, I think Arma would have been better... Quicker and more hungry to succeed.
Who knows, he might be our Harry Kane <awe>

Don’t be telling me you suddenly think he would have scored a hat full in the premiership. Vydra scores loads in championship, Deeney scored 20+ 3 seasons in a row but scored his first from open play in 25 games week b4 last,

Very different ball game. If Mitro was going to make it as a premier striker he would have done so

If we stay up need to be looking at another level of quality or we will cont8nue to struggle.
