Plenty of places reporting that Burnley are going to sign Joe Hart. Bizarre move for both, 3rd choice at best.
Pope is injured, what about Heaton? Is he still injured? If so Hart could play. They may also want more experience for their European games.

From Hart's perspective he's not got many options, more chance of a game as Burnley third choice than at Man C.

I think they're both injured, but they'll be back. There's definitely teams he'd get into, but Burnley isn't one.

This. Heaton is out short term and Pope has dislocated his shoulder so he's looking at half the season out apparently. Will Hart be happy as second choice to Heaton or will they drop the better keeper because of Hart having a big reputation?

I imagine if that was to happen they'd offload Heaton. Also it depends how serious that Pope injury is. Not sure Hart would want to be directly competing with other england keepers tho, could get screwed on both fronts by one player.

They might end up ridiculously stocked up like we were when we bought Sels in case Krul went...

Was it in case he went? I always thought we were looking to replace him. I loved Krul but he was injured top much for a number one. I think that season on loan back to the Netherlands was to give him a chance to impress. Otherwise wouldn't have extended his contract. Obviously he failed to do so.

I completely agree that's why Krul couldn't be counted on as #1 and was sold, but I think by the time he was loaned back to the Netherlands management had already made up their mind on him. Think that was just to give him a place to play, and maybe showcase him for sale.

Also, Clucas move from Swansea to Burnley is off over a failure to agree personal times. Fee was only £8m.

The idiot probably has ideas above his station and is demanding £100k+ a week.

At £8m NUFC could use him as a Hayden replacement but the salary would be prohibitive.

It does make you wonder how much he wanted doesn't it. Unless he wanted relegation release clauses etc. that Burnley didn't agree to.

Downie saying that Boro are looking at Bolasie as a replacement for Traore when he goes to Wolves.

Cannot believe that Everton ever spent £30m on Bolasie, he's a slightly better Sammy Ameobi at best <laugh>

Even seem to be one of those clubs who spend ridiculous money on players though.

e.g. Richarlison

They did get Bernard on a free though which is a good bit of business if he can recover the form of his with Shaktar before injuries.
I'll Hazard a guess

I'd add, a bit of the shine has come off of Zouma the past year or two. With all of the money Everton has wasted on CAMs and wingers the past couple years, maybe they should have invested a bit more in their backline.

He had that bad injury and got relegated with Stoke last season, stock has definitely fallen a bit.
