Didn't he score twice? At least once I think, I vaguely remember a free kick. He was basically a more attacking Cabaye, and seemed a perfect replacement. Although a midfield three of Cabaye, Siem, Tiote, may he rest well, would have been beautiful on form.

Should do alright there as Rennes are similar to Nice in that they'll challenge for the top six spots but never be quite good enough to compete with the likes of PSG, Lyon and Monaco for the title. Would have taken him back on a 1 year contract as a no.10/winger I mean he can't be any worse than before you may lose speed but never that amazing dribbling, technique and creativity he had.
