Atsu on for Ritchie who along with Kenedy has been our best player. Rafa baffles me sometimes with his decisions.

I think Atsu came on to give Rondon support with his pace. wouldnt be surprised to see Muto for Perez next

Yeah it was clearly tactical and not based on Ritchie underperforming.

Looking bad for Yedlin. Think we are going to regret not bringing in a full back this window.

Meh … deserved a point from that.

Need to tighten up at the back but generally happy with forward play.

Overall not too disappointed, think we didn't look quite match fit and we seemed to burn out towards the end, thought Muto looked decent, Rondon didnt seem to know what to do when he came on, think he could take a few more games to gel in, was unlucky with his effort off the post, think overall if we had a touch more sharpness and fitness then we get something out of this game but unfortunately it wasnt to be.

Not bad, as I said last year we won't be playing Spurs each week.

Muto done well in his short run out as Don points out looked very switched on and makes good runs.

Yedlin out for a while you'd think.

Manquillo for the next few weeks <neg>
I'll Hazard a guess

Really impressed with our transfers, Muto in particular made some great contributions. At the end of the day we were denied by Lloris being on fire (Although, it is Lloris, so to be expected) and the woodwork twice. Yedlin being injured is a real concern as now we have to rely on Sterry or (shudder) Manquilo.

Also, I like Atsu but... maybe stay on the bench next time.

Decent performance, deserved a point. Thought Diamé looked a lot better second half too.

Negatives are the same old, Yedlin is suspect in defence (yet we will still miss him due to lack of fullback quality and depth), and Perez is an absolute passenger if he’s not scoring.

Also can someone tell me why Atsu is ahead of Murphy in the pecking order? He’s bang average.

But gutted at that, we would've been well deserving of a point and those Kenedy and Rondon chances cost us. No big complaints though, we looked decent enough though with the same shortcomings as last season regards Yedlin defensively. Wonder if we can get an emergency loan?

Oh, and bringing on Atsu on the right hand side as a tactical substitution is madness.

Unlucky for us. On another day Kenedy, Rondon and Diame all could have scored.

Any point out of Man C, Spurs, Chelsea and arsenal in our first 5 would/will be a bonus. Should be going to Cardiff looking for points next week.

I have to say first of all there's a couple of positives we can take from this. Kenedy looks to have continued his brilliant form from last season he's such a great ball carrier he relives a lot of pressure and is a essential part of how we play, should have scored when he was through on goal. Joselu was decent getting a goal and working hard but you can tell he's limited. Diame 3 or 4 times gifted the ball to Spurs in the first half he had a shambles but second half he did OK and hit the bar. Perez anonymous throughout. Ritchie looked class in the first half and what a great cross for the goal it was clearly tactical he came off for Atsu. Muto looks intelligent, quick and nippy could form a lovely link-up with Kenedy, Perez, Shevelyand Ritchie. Rondon didn't look 100% in terms of sharpness as someone else said might take a few games to get his feet in to gel well with the team but he was unlucky not to get a goal he got in some decent positions though and if we keep feeding him good balls and crosses into the box he'll score. Overall you can say we were unlucky with the goal conceded and we deserved at least a point for our attacking play, we hit the bar twice and you could say Spurs were on the ropes at times in the second half.

Only negatives would be the result and Yedelin looks like he'll be a few weeks out. Manquillo it is <erk> <erk>

Another thing, I love Kenedys passion, he really beats himself up over mistakes at times, feel like he's someone who really strives to give 100%. Think he brings great character to the team along with his flair.
