Re: Toon Takeover Thread
Like previously mentioned this guy has been pretty spot on, if this is the case who would you choose?
I'd like to see a fresh face so Allegri or Favre.
Re: Toon Takeover Thread
Had no idea Lee Ryder was a closet Burnley fan.
Not feeling that lockdown goatee of his either. Get rid!

It’s the noise, the passion, the feeling of belonging, the pride in your city.

I just don't know why the new owners would leak stuff like this so early. I think George's recent article that Bruce isn't in immediate threat and this is a decision that can wait is far more likely.Don Sholeone wrote: ↑Tue Apr 21, 2020 9:54 am

I agree that they won't dispense with Bruce right away, I think he has till the end of the season (should it be completed) at the very least. Doesn't mean they wouldn't be looking at a short list of more long term options, however.TBC wrote: ↑Tue Apr 21, 2020 10:28 amI just don't know why the new owners would leak stuff like this so early. When a Prince takes over your club you need a king to manage itDon Sholeone wrote: ↑Tue Apr 21, 2020 9:54 am

I don’t mind who we bring in as manager as long as they’re positive and attacking. The need to be a defensive team should be over after this!
Re: Toon Takeover Thread
I've seen people say Rafa should come back to show what he could have done without Ashley's budget and transfer constraints. If that's the case surely Keegan gets to go first?
McLaren back in 2035.

Re: Toon Takeover Thread
I was disappointed when Keegan came back and I'll be disappointed if Rafa comes back, as much as I loved them here I've always thought it's best to move on and look forward.
I'm all for fresh faces and fresh optimism.

Re: Toon Takeover Thread
Who would people like to see as a first major signing if and when this whole takeover goes through? A player realistic enough and good enough to make a real statement?
It’s a shot as Liverpool want him and he is apparently keen on them but Timo Werner would be my shout.. has a release clause and with the investment we could offer better wages now.
On to you guys!

I'd throw some money towards Haaland and see what happens, £65m release clause so worth a shot.Uncle Paul wrote: ↑Tue Apr 21, 2020 3:59 pmWho would people like to see as a first major signing if and when this whole takeover goes through? Amnesty have as much pulling power as I do in regards to the deal.seaside nipper wrote: ↑Tue Apr 21, 2020 4:17 pmAs predicted there it is....... Amnesty International right on cue. Letter to the beaks at Premier League
As I said before the supposed list of human rights violations fall under the religious law which the Saudis follow to defy that wouldn't be seen as a good strategy.
Why do you think half of these countries are getting away with all of these things because like most things one persons view of something is different to anothers view.
I'll Hazard a guess

And just to fuel this having no impact if you read the letter its all oh we've heard rumours about this, but can show no proof. The also note that any purchases or decisions made by Saudis need the crown princes approval which isn't true.lassassinblanc wrote: ↑Tue Apr 21, 2020 4:36 pmAmnesty have as much pulling power as I do in regards to the deal.seaside nipper wrote: ↑Tue Apr 21, 2020 4:17 pmAs predicted there it is.......
