Sleater-Kinney - Sleater-Kinney
Go on then, i'll go for a swap! Although i'm struggling to think of an album to suggest.skalpel wrote:Anybody up for a swap?
Recommend the Skalps album to Skalps, see how he reviews himselfDonkey Toon wrote:Go on then, i'll go for a swap! Although i'm struggling to think of an album to suggest.skalpel wrote:Anybody up for a swap?
Did you ever get round to listening to any more of the Talk Talk albums ... like Laughing Stock or The Colour of Spring?

Oddly enough I just finished rewatching the Theroux documentary about Alzheimer's , so this seems particularly understandable right now.Donkey Toon wrote:skalpel wrote:
Oh f*** ... just reminded me that I was going to get back to you about that. My memory is so bad these days!
I've never heard it before, so I'll take that! How about the album "4" by Dungen for you? Are you able to find that online somewhere?Donkey Toon wrote:This week I have mostly been listening to an old favourite of mine which I used to love and then have largely ignored for far too long. Skalps are you old enough to remember, or have heard, the Rattlesnakes album by Lloyd Cole and the Commotions?
If not then I would recommend that.
Here is a youtube link of Rattlesnakes (just in case). Note: the original album only goes up to track 10 "Are you ready to be heartbroken?" The rest are obviously newly added bonus tracks which may actually dilute the overall quality of the album. I wouldn't know I haven't heard them myself yet.skalpel wrote:I've never heard it before, so I'll take that! How about the album "4" by Dungen for you? It seems I can only play if I sign up and i'm not sure what that entails at the moment.skalpel wrote:Yeah the only place I can find the Dungen album is on Spotify. Can you play in browser?
If not I can happily pick something else.
Ok, i'll give it a listen anyway. I've already listened to Fredag which was brilliant, so i've got an idea of what you are introducing me to and i'm going to seek out the (4) album anyway because I want to hear the rest of it.skalpel wrote:To be honest it sounds bugger all like "4", and it's not my favourite of theirs, but yeah why not give it a shot. It's by no means a bad album (I don't think they've made a bad album).
That sounds a bit like I'm saying it's s*** . It's not s*** at all, I quite like it, so yeah go for Tio Bitar.
