It's so hard to get out of your head, it's the insane modulation in pitch. I don't mind 'I knew you were trouble' when it comes on

All of her songs get in my head <grim>

My mate actually downloaded her album and is now insistent that "Taylor Swift invented music"

<laugh> I remember hearing about them years ago but never listened to them. Quick look at their Wiki page says they're still around which surprised me

P.T.N wrote:Okay, now, I know some people say "Oh I dont have guilty pleasures" yada yada yada...so maybe this thread has been titled wrong <laugh>

But, being the fool I am, I couldnt come up with a better title.

So, anyway, I gather alot of people here have very varied music tastes. Which, i think is great <diva> But, deep inside us all, there are songs that we like, yet never want people to know.

Either because its so embarrasing, or just by a band you down right hate. But still like a song by them. Don't worry, its not hypocritical <diva>

Anyway, here are my choices....ready....steady....CRINGE

One of the most annoying bands in the history of Rock and Thy Roll, with possibly the worst Frontman. But, that doesnt stop 30stm providing this blinder. Dislike the band, but hell, when i first heard this I thought <applause> However, the album that followed this way so poor it ended up on last years bonfire.

U2. One of the planets biggest bands. A loving frontman who along with his best pal Bob Geldof is trying to save the world. I hate Bono. More than alot of people in music. I think he is a pretentious hypocrite, who needs to be brought down a level. However, that doesnt stop me from having the opinion that, this song, and The Joshua Tree are blinding bits of art.

I know, I'm sorry. It's awful. Truly awful, but I can't help but like it. And even you know deep down you like it too. Don't lie

Strange one. I hate the genre, the band, and even most of the song. But from about 36 seconds up till the 1.00 minute mark. This song rules <laugh>

I can see this choice getting me the most stick. Yeah, I hate most of the 'Made for Radio' crap in todays music. But, this was different. Despite hearing it now about 8,958,0494 times. I still like it. On nights out, it makes me fly round clubs like Louie f****** Spence.

Come on boys, this like the AA. Share in your musical guilt. With PTN and God's help.

WE CAN HELP YOU

<diva>
The killswitch engage song is excellent. I think people should give songs with screaming in it a chance. It takes time to get over the social rejection of screaming as some sort of "weird" thing.

It's a way to allow the singer to expression him/herself in a different way. Growling/screaming/grunting etc.

Thought that was her best song so far, but then it says more about her music in general rather than that song.
