That 68 break he made in the 17th was incredible. Definitely going to be a World Champion one day.
<laugh> I wouldn't go as far to say that. I don't know what it is about snooker, compared to say tennis, that makes people hype up one or two decent results so much.
Who else has been hyped up after one or two results in snooker? He's into the quarters on his first appearance at the Crucible, knocking out the world number one and defending champion along the way.

Is it really any different to the media frenzy surrounding Nick Kyrgios after reaching the Wimbledon quarters last year?

Well I can't give you a specific example now <laugh> Still it's something I've noticed that the snooker commentators like to do.

About Kyrgios, I don't remember anyone saying he'll definitely win Wimbledon one day more that he could be one to look out for in the future. Could be wrong though as it was a while ago <ok>

Brundle does it all the time in F1. Whenever a young driver has a decent race he always says they are a future world champion. He's already compared Verstappen to Senna.

Trump is completely destroying Ding at the moment. 6-0 now. I hadn't considered him a serious contender for the Championship until now, really impressive performance.

Coulthard does similar as well but says, "We could be looking at a future world champion here."

DC is just covering all bases...technically any driver on the track could be a future world champion <laugh>

Bit disappointed as a Ronnie fan, can't complain too much as he clearly wasn't the same person he's been the last couple of seasons, but still I would like Murphy to win now.

Glad to see Ronnie go out, such an attention seeking arsehole at times.

Can't stand Murphy. I want Hawkins win it now. It's so open right now, the three best players in the world have failed to make the semis. Trump and Hawkins have played the best snooker so far in my opinion.

I used to love watching the snooker, but over the last few years I haven't really been able to commit the time to watching.

Funnily enough, it has coincided with being married <fist>

So unlucky for Bingham - was on for a 147 but the final red close to the cushion cost him it.

Ronnie O'Sullivan, what a spoilt tosser.

Was on for a 147 at The Welsh Open, after 7 reds and 7 blacks he asked what the reward for a 147 is. He was told that it was £10,000. He said that 'wasn't enough' so took a pink and made a 146 break. Some people have too much money and no grip on reality.

He should have just let Suarez take the shot!

I'm pretty sure he hasn't got much money. Thought he returned to snooker because he needed to pay his son's school fees.

It's entertaining and publicity for the sport. Can't say I agree though, why not get it and give the money to charity?

Even if you take the prize money out of it, fans there watching have paid to see the players play at their very best. Seeing a 147 live would be one of the best things you could see as a snooker fan, O'Sullivan was on one but chose not to as he's a petulant t***. It'd be like a football team winning a penalty but opting to pass the ball straight to the keeper.

And you don't think they saw that? It was a fine break and wasn't any less impressive for him going for the pink instead of the black. And his actions weren't petulant or spoilt at all, he was sending out a message, the amount on offer is pathetic, they used to get £147,000 for one at the World Championship 20 years ago. Players are less inclined to take a risky black early on in a break when the prize fund for it is so low.
