The Press Conferences
Times are in BST, and pretty much identical to last year.
Mon 09 Jun - 17:30 - Microsoft
- Pre-show starts at 17:00, has "sneak previews", "celebrity fans" and a "green carpet"... Post-show at 19:15, with execs talking about whatever is announced in the conference itself, as well as answering questions from twitter and a live audience.
- MS just announced 45 non-gaming apps (http://news.xbox.com/2014/06/ent-new-ex ... ng-to-xbox" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;), so maybe this will be about games...
- They've been making a big deal about Sunset Overdrive lately, and there are three unannounced Microsoft game slots on the Twitch schedule, one of which is probably Forza Horizon 2.
- There should also be stuff on a second season of Killer Instinct, now in the hands of Dave Lang's Iron Galaxy, Fable Legends, new Gears of War, Project Spark, Quantum Break, Halo, Phantom Dust?
- MGS trailer has leaked ahead of time, likely a part of MS conference rather than Sony.
(Crystal Dynamics are announcing a new game on Spike/Gametrailers in the 19:00 to 20:00 slot. Also CoD:AW, Halo, The Witcher 3, and the first showing of Sunset Overdrive multiplayer in there too)
Mon 09 Jun - 20:00 - EA
- There's a pre-show listed on Twitch starting at 19:00, and a post-show at 21:00.
- Expect Dragon Age: Inquisition, Battlefield: Hardline, Star Wars: Battlefront, Mirror's Edge (all the previous are confirmed), the usual annual franchises, etc.
- Perhaps something on the new Mass Effect and/or what's going on with the Star Wars license?
- There's at least one unannounced title.
- There's also a new project from Criterion among these "nearly half-dozen new games", which presumably is said unannounced title?
Mon 09 Jun - 23:00 - Ubisoft
- Another hour long conference, followed by a half hour post-show.
- The Division, The Crew, Far Cry 4, AC: Unity, and at least one unannounced title should headline this. I wouldn't be surprised if there is another game or two of a similar ilk to Child of Light and Valiant Hearts: The Great War.
- Partnership with NVIDIA to improve their games' PC performance in the wake of Watch Dogs.
Tue 10 Jun - 02:00 - Sony
- Expect H1Z1, Driveclub, The Order 1886 (despite the delay), Planetside 2, Diablo 3, Hohokum, Helldivers, Uncharted, probably Destiny and MKX as well (Destiny seems to be closely tied to Sony, and Sony paid for Injustice to come to PS4, Ed Boon tweeted something about Sony E3 hype today).
- PlayStation Now had some stuff leak onto the Store recently, so expect that to get properly announced / more info revealed.
- Perhaps a response to the Kinect-less Xbox One / price cut? A PS4/Vita bundle just leaked.
- There's a Valve segment?
- Two unannounced SCEA games mentioned on the Twitch schedule, one PS3/PS4, the other PS4/Vita.
- Project Beast?
- The Last Guardian?
Tue 10 Jun - 17:00 - Nintendo
- Four unannounced Nintendo games mentioned on the Twitch schedule.
- Their conference is again online only.
- Play the game.
- Super Smash Bros. Invitational, new Pokémon, Hyrule Warriors, Bayonetta 2, etc.
Square Enix are being weird.
Other games on the Twitch schedule that might show up somewhere in the above:
- Hotline Miami 2 (Dennaton / Devolver)
- BattleCry (BattleCry / Bethesda)
- The Evil Within (Tango / Bethesda)
- The Witcher 3 (CD Projekt RED / Various)
- Dying Light (Techland / Warner Bros)
- Homefront: The Revolution (Crytek / Deep Silver)
- Unannounced Deep Silver game (or 2, if the above is a Crytek reveal); Saints Row? Metro Redux?
- Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare (Sledgehammer / Activision)
- Lords of the Fallen (Deck 13, CI Games / Bandai Namco)
- Evolve Special Tournament (2K) (Can't find anything else on this)
- Unannounced Square Enix game, they've teased something FF related
- Warhammer 40k: Eternal Crusade (Behaviour / Square Enix)
- Batman: Arkham Knight (Rocksteady / Warner Bros)
- Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor (Monolith / Warner Bros)
- Alien Isolation (The Creative Assembly / SEGA)
- Civilization: Beyond Earth (Firaxis / 2K)
- Zombies Monsters Robots (Yingpei aka Epic China / En Masse)
- Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel (Gearbox / 2K)
- Unannounced Tecmo Koei game
- Disney Infinity 2.0 (Avalanche / Disney Interactive)
- SEGA Sonic BOOM! (SEGA)
It's been long enough since GTA V on 360/PS3, time for One/PS4/PC? Rockstar do have something schedule for the new gen this financial year...
Alienware will have a presence there, and will be showing off the "Alpha Gaming Console" (their steam machine).
Dark Souls 2 is getting 3x pieces of DLC, first of which is being shown on Spike/Gametrailers at some point.
