Nice, yeah I could do with a second/third for that (depending on if my friend ever gets his fusion rifles) and maybe other tough things in future.

I got another exotic bounty yesterday (same selection, so went Invective), so down to 3 spare bounty slots for a while...

Yeah I wanted Invective but I already have the bounty for the fusion rifle and just got that sniper so was no point having 3 legendary specials. Didn't want the pulse rifle either because that's what me legendary is so ended up with thorn.

Have you done any of the queen's stuff? That's how I ended up getting 2 legendary helmets earlier.

Your alts are going to be well geared once they hit 20.

Nah they were both hunter ones sadly.

Not done any Queen stuff yet, only just got on. My DS4's thumbsticks are peeling horribly now so going to look at buying replacement sticks before I actually get going again.

I bought some of these a while back as they were peeling on one of my controllers. I actually prefer the grip on one of them to the standard grip.

I had some of those for my DS3, thanks for the reminder. I'll probably still replace the sticks, but this is more usable until then.

Cal how long did it take you to do the crucible part of the Thorn bounty? This is the most frustrated I've been playing this game by far.

Didn't take too long, did it in less than an evening of crucible. I'm a warlock though, so I have access to Voidwalker and could make pretty much all my damage void, you're a hunter(?) so I think you're limited only to your special/heavy?

Ahh rightt. Yeah Hunter so special and heavy it's a right pain in the dick. It's being laggy as s*** as well for some reason, I've never had it this bad before people are literally appearing out of nowhere in front of me and killing me with a shotgun (obviously).

Also I've just realised that now I've started I can't stop and play normally because my total will just keep going down

Yeah you have to actively play in a cautious manner until that's done, unless you want to go back to 0. I'd recommend wrecking face with a void fusion rifle in control.

So they just released a patch that ruins a bunch of stuff. Queen's legendary armour rewards no long disassemble into ascendant materials, so I have zero reason to do anything to do with her now. The loot cave and a bunch of similar places have been massively nerfed (from 6 seconds to 40 seconds between spawns), and engram drop rate greatly reduces after a wipe in a mission.

They've talked about some planned balance changes; some exotics are underwhelming and will be improved (Thorn, Bad Juju in particular), auto rifles are too effective at long range, shotguns are apparently too good at midrange?, scout rifles will do more damage.

Just saw the patch notes, what an utter load of s***. As you say absolutely no point doing the Queen's missions now, I'd saved up 5 to do this evening too

I think the only use for them now is for quickly gearing alts, but you still need to get them to 21 first...

Exactly, utterly pointless. Who wants to complete 8 'very hard' missions just to get the same helmet/chest piece over and over again.
