Despite some of my halftime complaints, I agree there were plenty of positives to take away. Won't repeat them because it'd mirror what others said - but I particularly agree that Muto looks to have some real pace.

Now that I have the number to back it up, Perez had 33 touches all match. Last among starters, and several of the subs who were on for a quarter of the time he was were well on their way to catching up. He needs to get more involved - the formation we play requires it.

Keep playing like that and we will be very safe from relegation, the key being still playing like that after the very tough opening 6 or so games and not losing any confidence.

I have to mention as no one else has. Dubravka did keep the score down too. What an addition he has been.

Also glad Kane didn't break his August hoodoo
I'll Hazard a guess

This time last year we spent 90 minutes trying to contain them, this was much better.

Unlucky not to get a draw. Thought we played well today. Kenedy, Ritchie and Dubravka stand out players for me today.

Just saw a clip on Twitter btw - Ritchie proper spat his dummy out after being subbed...

Thought we looked decent. Except Yedlin, absolute liability at the back. Can't mark, Dele Ali must of felt lonely all on his own most of the game.
And in conclusion, how far had you got through reading this before you realised it was my signature?

Few empty seats at the top, suppose it was on the telly.

How did Clark do on Saturday? Do we think he'll be the preferred partner for Lascelles or will Schar be eased in?
I'm the scumbag outlaw. You're the pillar of justice. Neither of us like looking at ourselves in the mirror. Do we have a deal?

Thought he done well, he still flies into challenges which is risky, think Schar will be eased in though yeah. Rafa did say that all the new signings would be as the other players know his method and work well within it.

Saying that giving the injury to Yedlin we could perhaps see a change to 3-5-2 for the Cardiff game

-------------------Dub----------
--------Schar--Lascelles--Clark---
-Rtichie----------------------------Dummett
------------Shelvey--Diame-----------------
-------------------Kenedy*--------------
-------------Perez*------Rondon--------

*Will play in free role dropping deep to create and build up play
Only danger with that would be Rtichie not being the greatest defender in the world, From seeing highlights he was also at fault for the Dele Alli goal as he left him to Yedlin.
I'll Hazard a guess

If we are playing that wouldn't it make more sense to move Dummett inside and play Kenedy wing back? Very defensive otherwise against a team we should be aiming to take three points from.

That said I think I'd just bring Manquillo in and keep the same formation. I'd say start Rondon but that's actually quite harsh on Joselu who scored and would've had a fantastic assist had Kenedy not ballsed up that chance.

Yep true of course. I'd agree it would be harsh on Joselu he didn't actually have that bad of a game as you say scored and would have had an assist had Kenedy took his chance
I'll Hazard a guess

I'd go with this as well. I don't think one game in is the time to start messing around with a tried and tested formation. Especially since we did well using it against Spurs and also towards the end of last season.

Giving our start of Spurs, Cardiff, Chelsea, Man City then Arsenal, the Cardiff game is our best chance at 3 points so definitely not the time to make unessacery and drastic tactical chnages which could potentially throw the game. I'd just bring in Manquillo or Sterry for Yedlin and otherwise go unchanged.
