That's a bit of a s*** one really. It's meant to be referred to as Czechia now, but it's still the Czech Republic too. Maybe Ceylon or Upper Volta or something would be better!Bodacious Benny wrote: ↑Fri Jul 27, 2018 10:57 amGood idea!biggeordiedave wrote: ↑Fri Jul 27, 2018 10:46 am
Give people the former names of say ten cities/countries and ask them what they're called now.
Rangoon
Czech Republic
Siam
Burma
Zaire
Mesopotamia
Kampuchea
Constantinople
Abyssinia
Leningrad
Isn't the Czech Republic still called the Czech Republic or did I miss something?

If anyone is an actual fan of Geography there's a nice youtube series called Geography Now! which runs through a 10-20 min basic description country by country. I think it's projected to be a 3 and a half year project (one video a week.)

Been catching up with my best mate from college not spoke in a couple of years, he landed a job last year working for a company run by Chris Brown (guy who gave Rihanna a black eye), now he's rubbing shoulders with some of the biggest celebs in Hip Hop hes even become good friends with a literal hip hop legend. I've never felt so unsuccessful in my life

To be honest I dont blame you for thinking that , but this guy is nothing how you would expect a rapper to be, he's super down to earth, apparently he will ring my mate at random around 3-4 times a week just for a chat and to see how he's doing. He also pops into the office with new samples and beats to ask my mates opinion on them. He's says his life right now is so surreal.biggeordiedave wrote: ↑Wed Aug 08, 2018 11:07 amSounds f***ing awful to be fair.Don Sholeone wrote: ↑Tue Aug 07, 2018 2:02 pmBeen catching up with my best mate from college not spoke in a couple of years, he landed a job last year working for a company run by Chris Brown (guy who gave Rihanna a black eye), now he's rubbing shoulders with some of the biggest celebs in Hip Hop hes even become good friends with a literal hip hop legend. I haven't got one, but from the reviews I've seen on TV the decent ones are a bit bulky.
